Soul and identity?

He's brought Malky in, presided over coming close to winning the League Cup over Liverpool at Wembley, and bank-rolled us to 2nd in the table, setting club records on the way ;)

I always believe that it is the FANS that give the club 'soul' and 'identity' and not any individual owner (no matter how big the ego) ;)

We are STILL Cardiff City Football Club even if we do (temporarily I hope) play in red and the quicker SOME wake up to that FACT the quicker we can unite behind this outstanding team and get the 'FULL HOUSE' signs up as we sing our way to the Premiership! :ayatollah:

Personally, I thought he (VT) showed pride and passion after the Middlesbrough game and it brought a smile to my face knowing that (for whatever reason) he WANTS our club to do well :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

The fact that he is there almost every game shows he's loves the football and loves the club. Turn the dept to equity and he will be a Cardiff City legend for years to come.

Yes, he cares so much he's taken the clubs identity away for no REAL reason.

You can be a sell out and wear your red shirts and beer mat badge all you like, I certainly won't be.

If he REALLY cared about the club and the fans, he would know that the colour and crest etc are a PART OF the club and wouldn't just take them away with ANY consultation of the fans.

If he really cared about supporters, he would have approached fan groups and had discussions etc about it all - instead of it just being announced.

If he really cared for this club, he wouldn't be charging 7% interest on the LOAN he's currently given the club.

2 sides to every coin.

Funded the Keanor Statue.
Put up the pictures around the stadium of iconic figures.
Kept the Bluebird
"I'll be there" slogan
Man with Cardiff background introduced to the board.
Cardiff City 1 Malaysia
Executive suites named after ex-players or managers

Let me switch this then.... other than what you consider to be the problem which is actually just the badge and colour (which he has kept btw) how has he shown he doesn't love our history or what we stand for?????

What did Sam, Kumar, Wright do that even came close to what Tan has come to re-inforce who we are and where we come from? The team's march out tune during Sam's time here was just an homage and ego stroke to himself!

if we're going to go down the lines you want to go down then you must also need to hold Ridsdale in high esteem for bringing the old badge back.

All the stuff your on about was all Julian Jenkins idea, slogans etc, they never even had to ask him, he doesnt know the day to day activities of our club a fact.Julian and Allan Whitley had to beg him for one season to keep our Bluebird, at first meeting Tan had wanted it gone. Our debt £100 mill and stripping our club of its identity, answer that love?

We will not be playing in blue away much either as it is NOT our away kit - blue will only be worn at away games when we cannot wear red because of a kit clash with the home team. How many of our remaining opponents play in red at home?

He didn`t personally fund the Keenor (note the correct spelling) statue at all. It was mainly funded by a large number of individual fans of the club with help from Welsh Government and Cardiff Council donations.

The Bluebird has been kept (in its minimal new size) DESPITE VT wanting all reference to it removed , due to the arguments put forward by club officials (some of whom have since been sacked )that it should be retained in some small way at least. It was then registered as part of the badge that cannot now be changed (even by VT) under League rules for the remainder of this season. Watch out for VT getting his own way for next season though.

The pictures around the stadium were hardly his idea.

You honestly believe "I`ll be there" is his slogan? Seriously?

"Man with Cardiff background" will very seldom actually visit the city as he will continue to do his legal work from his longstanding base in Perth , Australia.

Its 1Malaysia CC . not Cardiff 1 Malaysia (the order is quite important and deliberate). The purpose of the scheme is to benefit football and VT`s profile in Malaysia , not primarily for our club`s benefit.

And how has VT kept the co;our blue as you suggest? Its only in a minimal way to be used in those relatively few away games where we can`t wear red because of a kit clash with a home team playing in red.

Sorry for the spelling:

1) I thought I had read somewhere that VT contributed towards the funding of the Keenor statue?

2) Why is the order of the 1Malasia CC important and deliberate?

3) I tend to hold the view we are Blue and Red or Red and Blue. we are neither one colour or the other if you look at all the wider marketing and branding, unless of course this changes next year.

Tan put money into the Statue didn't he? Thought it was well documented on here.

Amazes me that the person keeping our club going is getting so muc flack.

Club shirts are selling well, we are far better commercially than ever before and we're on the up. Malky has bern supported in the transfer market, fact.

I agree the debt to equity is the big one and i will be first to have a pop if he doesn't. So once Sam is out the picture we'll know.
