Our crowds are not increasing at all which is very odd, given we have just brook all records with 9 out of 9 wins, I can only sugest, that it must be the pricing structure that is keeping the fairweather supporter away. Surely it would be best to suspend this system and just get back to offering a simple transparent pricing structure that offers value for money.
Don't get me wrong, I do think the dynamic system can work, but only if and when we reach a point where demand is so high that supporters will have no choice but to buy early or they simply wont get a ticket, but that stage is way off at the moment.
In these times of austerity, I think that a fair number of supporters cannot or wont commit weeks in advance, then by the time the actual game comes around and they can go to that game they are just not bothering as its too expensive. I really think the club are shooting themselves in the foot, we should be hitting 24-25k now, I would be in favour of the club just offering adult tickets for a straight £15 per adult, lets get the stadium full, this could be an historic season that deserves a full house for every game.

For me, I still pay U16 tickets and paying an average of £9 a match is a revelation. Whilst i'm sure for those of you who are working, £23 a ticket is a God send, so why are people not paying??
It's easy, rebrand (which undoubtedly takes a few off) and financial situation. Just wait until later on in the season when the "big matches" against Bolton etc are coming up, we'll be getting 24,000 for sure

I think I agree, its works at Derby...but there has always been massive demand at Derby so the early bird benefit from catching the worm. At Cardiff though, people aren't as forthcoming...when they do decide they wanna go the price isn't worth it.

Was chatting about this earlier in the pub.
Walk up fans are who kids with there dads?
Parks footballers who've had there games called off on a Saturday morning?
The latter was brought up earlier. Saturday players obviously can't book in advance, but if there games off are they likely to pay the increased price?

I don't think the dynamic pricing system is about filling the stadium, it's about getting the best price per ticket for the club. I'm sure it has been said that although attendances are down ticket revenue is up.
They will gladly sell tickets cheap early in order to judge the levels of supplies for a game and staffing. However these cheap prices come at a cost to fans that want to walk up on the day.
The system will work, but fans need to change the way they approach their footballing finances. If money is tight but we still want to attend, we need to miss a game that is two days away and buy a ticket for a game that is two weeks away. Then you get into a regime of early purchase.
This obviously still leaves fans that cannot plan a Saturday that far in advance due to work or family commitments that need to be very fluid. These are the fans I fell sorry for.

I agree, the demand has to be there in the first place for this system to really work and at Derby there has always been a far greater demand for tickets than at our club, however, even at Derby at this moment in time its probably also having a negative effect, as their crowds are down this season.
Just keep things simple, with one price and allowing purchase at that price on the day

Not sure where to price a game for non season ticket holders, but why don't the club offer non season ticket holders -
A card which can be stamped each game they go to....and get a discount eg paying more than season ticket holders, but less than this pricing system

I honestly can't see the system working until demand outstrips supply and that will probably only happen either if we are looking like promotion certainties with a few games remaining, when everyone and their dog will suddenly come out of the woodwork and jump on the Cardiff promotion bandwagon or when we actually reach the Premiership. But lets be honest, if we can see that after 9 straight home wins our attendances have not increased one iota, then there has to be something that is not working, the recession is a huge factor, but this ticketing system is compounding the problem not providing any solution.

The club always seem to be hoping for a big walk up, why would there be a big walk up when the prices are so high on match day? Personally I think it's not working, it was a decent idea but it the crowds are not improving.

as wayne has touched on though, its making the club more money believe it or not, although it makes no sense to us its makes sense in the books, so for that I cant blame the club. Could they make more in a season such as this one though by dropping the system....especially for the big games and the latter games of the season if we are right up there.
