A fair point.

However, when DJ signed Whitts he didn't actually play him much to start with and it was only towards the end of his time as manager that he began to get the best out of him.

To Malky's credit he seems to have decided to make Whitts the fulcrum of his team although he is still prone to playing him a bit too deep at times, particularly away from home.

Whitts work rate and (occasional) tackling also much better now than under the scowling scouse git.

Did you see him sprinting back to help the defence today? I thought he'd been training with Usain Bolt!

His pace, in comparison to last season, is incredible.

Long may the quality last. A Cardiff City legend. :D

Yes, and he took one for the team with a well timed foul to break up one of their more promising attacks.

God help us if he gets injured.

Well done Whitts. Your free kicks and corners are by far the best I have ever seen.

WItts was also brilliant under DJ - his goal return under DJ was unbelievable

Now he is a more rounded player though and he seems to be getting better and better
