City fans - disgrace

Fri Nov 16, 2012 11:49 pm

For those of you who have posted negative comments regarding the award of a new contract to Taylor by Malky you are nothing short of a disgrace. Whilst everyone is entitled to their opinion he is a young man who always tries his best and wears his heart on his sleeve. Are you the ones who also criticise Gestede Cowie and McPhail? These are our players for god sake. Think carefully before commenting between slurping your beer and consider supporting players to give them the confidence to be even better players. We are third in the league and could be top tomorrow. Give Taylor credit. Malky does not give four year contracts to poor players. Keep the faith fellow Bluebirds. Instead of jeering try cheering. Maybe the atmosphere will then be better at the ground. :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Gotta agree with some of this. Too many people quick 2 get on players backs expecting us 2 win every game 5-0! Just support our club and back all players/manager!

I don't think Taylor does himself any favours and should keep his mouth shut sometimes. The number of times I read an interview of him saying "we will learn from these mistakes" and then the next game we concede another 3/4/5 goals makes him look ridiculous. I have always said I see Taylor as more of a midfielder as I don't trust him defensively. He gets skinned too often and allows the crosses to come in too easily. However, I will always give him my 100% support along with every other City player on the pitch. But this forum is about discussing and giving opinions, so if you don't like reading negative comments, I suggest you don't go onto the messageboards, as some of us are always moaning. Someone even criticised Malky's tactics after our last win against Hull when we dominated the majority of that game!

I take your fair point about negativity Tonteg. I just get disappointed when I see someone doing their best and being criticised too freely.

Have we had a better LB in recent times?

Sorry Brezza, reading my post back it probably came across I was having a go at you. I wasn't, I was just stating that although in an ideal world, we would all be supporting the players, there's a fair few fans who seem only happy to criticise and have a moan. Like you say, as long as every player does their best for us on the pitch, I will support them, whether they play well or not. :ayatollah:

People who slate a player in a City shirt isn't exactly a proper true fan.

although prob the better of the left backs we have had in the last couple of yrs, i still think his performances are average..

for a full back he gets beat way too easily... out of our defenders he is the weakest in my opinion... i think we could and will have to get better in that position if we want to remain water tight at the back..

hes def worth having in the squad so agree with a contract extension but on the other hand i havnt seen anything electrifying in his performances to warrant an improved deal if that is the case..

malky must rate him highly as he stated that he was the first name on the team sheet every week!
