As you all know, Whitts has never kicked up a fuss about wanting to leave, premiership ambition etc...
Hes always got on with his football, never been in the press for the wrong reasons and put his head down when he was out the team under Dave Jones.
After a recent chat with Pete he made it clear hes never even thought about leaving CCFC.
Wouldn't football be a far greater sport with more people like Whitts involved?

If his mrs told him she wanted to leave, he would go - Fact
never the less he always starts off well for us or has a small spell during the season where he's international class. cant fault that

I really do think he is the best player we have ever had! True professional with huge talent aswell! He shouldve been in the England squad a long time ago! Before Bothroyd! How long has England craved a Left footed midfielder?

Whitts wouldn't bat an eyelid if called up. Probably annoyed he had to travel up to Wembley!

Whitts, in my opinion, will be the next City Player to be awarded a Testamonial

Yeah, true legend. I will be the first to admit that I wanted him out after our first bottled season but he made me eat my words and I am so glad we kept him and I was wrong. Since then he's been an absolute gem for the club.

After knowing Pete for a number of years now I can categorically tell you his Mrs wouldn't influence him, it would be more to do with his dog!

Steve McPhail I reckon, at the end of this season. It would be wrong not to give him a fit and proper goodbye as a professional footballer

He is how Footballers should be, A True gent. I think he will be with us untill he can no longer play, Id love to see how Whits would do at a club like Newcastle or Everton. Hopefuly he will be playing Premiership with us.

Down to Earth and humble bloke and ever since he signed that contract extension i've regarded him as a club legend. That's dedication right there for you. I really hope we go up this year because it'll further cement his legacy.

Ironic really that many wanted him out 3 or 4 seasons ago, too lazy, inconsistent..... Called Shittingham!
Great footballer & professional, that we are so lucky to have, how wrong were they/we????

Me too chief, that's why I added we. I wasn't as bad as some who hammered him every game, but I hope he keeps doing what he wants for us for a long time to come!
