kenny miller

Tue Nov 13, 2012 1:11 pm

kenny miller has been quoted as saying he would be open to a return to the british game during the mls off season from december to march . would anybody welcome him back and would we see a different player to last year if he was playing in this current squad and formation ? hes definatly a poacher/goal scorer but i dont think we saw the best of him last year , with helgusson doing the donkey work for him he could thrive this time !

another intresting point to this is whether there are any players in the mls that could help us for a few months on loan instead of looking at the prem players only ??

Miller seems to be underappreciated on here, I wouldn't mind seeing him back. He definitely went through a bad patch though, should've won us the Carling Cup.

Christ how old is Babayaro now :o I assumed he had long since retired.

People would be sceptical if Miller returned. However it would be interesting to see how he would do in this squad.

34 apparently only defender i could think of over there but surely theres got to be a few decent full backs over there or strikers , landon donovan allways seems to do well in the winter over here , was great for everton last year

I think if he had stayed he would have scored lots of goals this season :ayatollah: But I dont think a return would be right :o

Babayaro? He retired years ago. Fairly sure he went to LA Galaxy for the chance to play with Beckham, but didn't make one appearance, retired, and was declared bankrupt shortly after...

Fairly sure he couldn't help us. ;)

I'd definitely have him back with this squad for a month or two, He'd would thrive off of the link up play with Helguson, and the service from the likes of Noone & Smith on the wings. He wouldn't need to all the dirty work he was doing last season, and could be a great goal poacher.

I'd take a two month loan from January to end of February. He did well last year up front on his own with limited support, so it makes you wonder how he'd do this year with all this quality in the side. If he was on a lower wage I'm sure Malky would have kept him this season :ayatollah:

SUPER KENNY MILLER :ayatollah:

Re: kenny miller

fair play im quite shocked most people would have him back i thought there would be a lot of people saying no chance !!!
i think if he found form in this team he would score 20+ a season easy .
:ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

and yes just found out babayaro retired he was on the list of ex prem players playing in the mls though , my apologies it was only a name to highlight full backs anyway , he would prob be past it now anyway .

Would love Super Kenny Miller back for a few months. His hard work at the front line earned us dozens of points last season and with the players we have now he might score a goal : o :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

100% take him back with the squad we have now.

How the f**k people expected so much of him last year is unreal.

I reckon he'd be quality with a partner like Helguson upfront! 2 month loan won't do no harm and be a chance to prove himself and help with the promotion push!

Kenny Miller has 65 Scotland caps

HIBS manager Pat Fenlon is open to the idea of former striker Kenny Miller returning to Easter Road.

The Scotland international is with Vancouver Whitecaps but has failed to set North America’s Major League Soccer alight since joining the Canadian side midway through the season and it is understood he is keen to engineer a move back to the club where he first made his name.

Miller, who has scored twice in 13 games for Whitecaps, has not played a competitive match since the beginning of the month, when he came on as a substitute as Whitecaps side lost to David Beckham’s LA Galaxy.

With a long gap until the start of the new MLS season in March, Miller is back in Scotland and has been linked with a return to the SPL.

Currently training with another of his former clubs, Rangers, a short-term switch to the Leith side has been mooted, as has a more prolonged loan deal. But, while Fenlon says he has been notified of the player’s alleged
interest and admits he is curious, he added that he has yet to speak to Miller or his agent.

If he's not doing well in the mls I don't think he'd do well back here. Wasn't his biggest fan anyway.

what would be the point of a 2 month loan for a past it kenny Miller. I would either go out and buy a striker come January or loan one until the end of the season with a view to buying in the close season, job done. Not forgetting Maynard will probablyy be back shortly after January so it will be like signing 2 top strikers for the final push - whammo :ayatollah:

Helguson and Miller up front

Talk about a pedestrian forward line.

Should get Waybe Nash to but a zeebra crossing on the edge of the box.

Helguson puts a shift in like Miller but has the knock of getting goals too.
