WE NEED A FULL BACK ON LOAN

So, Kev McNaught is our latest player to get a knock, adding to whatever it is that's wrong with Matt Connolly.
Malky has said Matt will be ready for next week but I doubt Kev will be.

This leaves us with young Ben Nugent as cover on the bench just like on Saturday.

What I don't understand is why Malky didn't replace Kev with Nugent, a full back, at the time.

By opting to drop Gunnar back there to right back shows he's not 100% on throwing Nugent in - & if that's the case why put him on the bench in the first place?.

So, if Nugent isn't going to be used, it's glaring obvious we need a full back on loan.

Yes, he did well to be fair.

First half after Kev went off and Kiss came on, we went right off the boil - second half when Ralls came on for Kiss, we seemed more solid through the middle. I was in line with Gunnar as he hit that cross, it was pure magic - fast, hit on the run from a perfect pass, curling away from goal, right across the middle of the box. Chuffed for Hudson, the man has had some dog's abuse over the years from his own fans. He comes up with really important goals. I was initially annoyed at the goal they scored, but watching it on the TV I could see it was an absolute wonder goal.

Nugent I think favours his left foot, or is a centre back with a left foot?? Can someone telll me if that is the case please? That might explain why Gunnar was at RB, especially as others have said he has played there for Cov.

Personally i thought gunnersson looked poor in the first half (maybe that was down to kiss?) but he looked isolated and Hull were looking to atack down that side all the time. Second half we looked much more solid.

aswell as gunnarsson deputized in the right back role, we still need cover in the form of an actual full back..

You're right, perhaps Nugent can only play centre back.

We should go out and get Alan Hutton. He's fallen out with Paul Lambert at Villa. His wages may be high, I'm sure they'd be open to negotiation though.

As said above Nugent is a CB who I think has played LB so no surprise to see him move Gunnar to RB where he played for Coventry before.

I don't see the need to loan in a full back if Connelly is returning if I'm honest.
