Dai Hunt at the unveiling

Mon Nov 12, 2012 11:46 am

Taken from the other messageboard. Personally I think this guy is a legend.

"Hovering around Julian Jenkins, he was moaning about red tops and mentioned, several times, that Birmingham City play in blue and they would never change.

He then started chatting to an elderly lady and moaned to her about Birmingham's blue!

As nobody would listen to him (most just turned away, blanked him or pretended to fiddle with their mobile phones), he then started yelling at the flag-covered statue.

"You wouldn't put up with this Fred!, Tell 'em Fred, Go on, go on, tell 'em!!!"

I just hope the camera men weren't filming early.

The guy is an entire hamper short of the picnic. "

Had a few run ins with Dai. I fully agree with him on the rebrand though ;)

Dai Hunt is too much for the average fan. As much as I agree with him on the rebrand I would hate him to be the spokesman against it.

He shouldn't be the spokesman for anything, he should just be given tranquilisers.

I would've. I only saw him (and heard him, of course) for 2 minutes on Saturday and he was already winding me up.

True and lots of us have shown loyalty to the club over decades but he needs to calm it down a bit.

He is a fruit loop but part of Cardiff City FC. My first ever match with my dad is just flash back of Dai screaming at the players doing the warm up from the bob bank, that was before we were allowed back in the standing area...it was a fair old distance but he get a response every time. I'm a grown arse man now and every time I see him or hear him it makes me smile and reminds me of that first ever game all those years ago with my old man.

He's great from a distance and for a very short time. It's a shame he doesn't realise what a plonker people think he is. I noticed lots of people making a sharp exit when he approached on Saturday. I felt sorry for him but he doesn't help himself.

I've never met him (or heard him). I'd like to just for the experience.

The club should do something to recognise him though

Seriously, he can be an utter nuisance towards players.

You cant do something to recognise fans just because they are mad

Iv'e started up a "Dai Hunt fund" and have organised buckets around the ground for people to make a small donation to the cause. We only need about £400 quid to get him a season ticket at the Liberty Stadium next year so lets make a big effort folks.

I would love to see him in the premier lounge with everyone. Get the prawn sandwich brigade out early at half time
