Danny Graham

Sun Nov 11, 2012 9:45 am

A guy i sit next to at cardiff home games told me yesterday that he heard a rumour that City are trying to sign Danny Graham
on loan in the January transfer window because the jacks think he's carrying to much wait and want to bring 2 new strikers in, anyone think that's a good signing? i personally think at this level he is good competition for Helguson and could give us the boost we need to score more goals.

He has scored goals at this level and has played for Malky so I wouldn't rule it out

Re: Danny Graham

I'd be very surprised if I'm honest, Michu is ahead of him in the pecking order at the moment but he is Laudrups plan B, a decent target man, good finisher, just needs a goal right now.

Missed yesterday with a back injury.

I can see Laudrup buying a striker in the windows so wouldn't be surprised.

It'll all depend whether he thinks it's right to step down a division, given that he impressed in the PL last year. He's been carrying a few niggles and looked overweight of late but did look a lot sharper and leaner last time out against Chelsea.Got to say though, the move ticks all the right boxes.

I still think he is in the first team plans, reading today that Laudrup has £10m to spend in January but a fair chunk of that is to cover DeGuzman joining permanently. So unless we have another gem like Michu lined up on the cheap, I think Graham will be staying put, hope so anyway, cracking player, just going through one of those spells at the moment.

The reason he didn't feature at all yesterday was due to injury.

He's not going to step down a level and there's absoloutely no reason we should be loaning him out as he is an awful lot to offer for us whether he's starting or not, and if we were to loan him out why the f**k would we loan him to you. We'd never get our loan fee

If Graham joins us on loan, I will eat horse shit for a year

Re: Danny Graham

It's possible and not unrealistic that he could join for a month or so. Laudrup will want him to get fit again, we need a goalscorer, he's played under Malky. It fits

Good to see we can use u to better our players ;)

According to the paper today Laudrop has players lined up for Jan and if its a striker then Graham will drop down the order.

Can't see him coming here though.

I admire your principles! ........... But you've changed to red and have a dragon in place of your bluebird and you've accepted that haven't you?

Re: Danny Graham

I'd take him in a heart beat and if he does become available there is no doubt in my mind that malky will go all out for him.
As for him being a jack, it doesn't really bother me as many players have crossed that bridge and been great players for us, robbie james, andy legg, jason bowen just to name a few.

Exactly! Even 'Jack hater' David Giles was a fans favourite down here once upon a time! Martin Thomas the 'hoolie' scored an fa cup tie winning goal versus West Ham, the list is endless on both sides! I think some need to get some perspective. And for the record, Danny Graham to you? It's got legs in it, but i'd be gutted! :(

 Dont know about that nj but even if he doesn't fit into Ml's plans we would still at least want our money back. And thats £3.5m+! Plus the fact that we wouldn't accept installments from this lot!

3.5 million. Surely we could pay you 5p in the £ so £175k sounds good to me ;-)

I would take him, he is just what we need and Malky knows him so well

I'd take him and I can see him being made available in January.

Re: Danny Graham

Some of this lot would put local rivalry over potential promotion.

Graham or Helguson??? Hmmm  I do like or used to like Helguson but Danny would tear the championship up,again.

I think we'll weight until he looses a bit of wait, before deciding what to do with him.
