Helguson vs bothroyd

Aww bothroyds poor little leg hurt in the biggest game of his career vs Blackpool at wembley. Helguson goes for a ball that most people would s**t Out of and collides at full pace with keeper and post cuts to his face with paramedics surrounding him. He played on as if nothing had happened.......people moan about helguson but I'd rather know the money I pay watching city goes to someone who gives his all for the club than someone who can't stay on his feet. Helga the Viking!!!!

That's cos u know what u r on about unlike a few others. We all loved bothroyds flair but helguson will win us games that jay would go hiding in. i.e Ipswich away

In terms of skill and goalscoring, Jay. His scoring record with us shows that he's definitely capable of playing in the Prem, he just needs to keep his head and stay on his feet. He's one of those players who at this level, can pull a goal out of absolutely nothing

That was two years ago he is 30 and should be playing at a higher level than a loan spell at a struggling championship team.

The problem with Jay is football is just his job, there is no passion for it.

I bloody love Helguson. Wins most balls in the air and gets it to our players as well. He also chips in with 10-15 goals every season which is exactly what you want from a target man/ second striker. Not understood the criticism he's had from a minority of our fans at all.

I cannot understand for the life of me some of the criticism towards helgs on here a few weeks ago.People who understand football know what he brings to the team and I for one think he is a fantastic professional who gives his all to the cause unlike Jay!

Honestly can't see why people make Heider the scapegoat! He puts in 100% every game and people say he doesn't score enough goals well he's matching Jordan Rhodes on the scoring charts

Helguson for me. I ent going to slate Jay as he did a fantastic job here. Moan and groan but in December 2010 everyone was crying for him to come back. When he did he picked up a goal against Watford. Jay was some striker at this club and he tore teams apart. He scored some crackers.. Against Qpr, Sheffield United (night game) and Sheffield Wednesday the last home game of the 2009/2010 season.

Bothroyd is the better player but im happy with HH

If Jay, he his a decent guy as it happens, had 15% of Helgussons whatever it is then he would be one player.

Probably different for all you guy's but travelled back on the train several times with Jay, joined us lot sometimes, sometimes not. Interesting character but a good man. Different people with a special talent need different approaches, not everyone is a left wing sit down suck my cock type.
