As a tough, physical centre back, was for us to ship goals like we are currently doing. When Malky was appointed, I thought he would make us tight and hard to beat. To be honest, this still feels like a Dave Jones team, being a soft touch, not playing as an organised team and shipping goals. Charlton had only scored 5 goals at home all season and they've just doubled that tally tonight. Malky needs to sort it out and sort it out fast. I thought the midfield Malky selected tonight was suicidal, not with picking bad players, but with how unbalanced our midfield was. I love seeing Noone, Frei and Whittingham in the team, but we had a tough battle away from home, and Cowie was the only midfielder out of the 4 capable of doing any of the physical, defensive donkey work. I was expecting us to be too lightweight, overrun and ship goals when I looked at our 4 man midfield and so it has proved. Sod the exciting, attacking football, we will always have players to score goals at this level, let's make our team organised and hard to beat first please Malky!
