Don't blame Malky for Marshall having a nightmare

Tue Nov 06, 2012 9:53 pm

He had a nightmare and unsettled the defence, if he had his normal game we would have won convincingly.....

Just like all the other "individual errors cost us" in every single away game?

I wasn't there and only listened to the radio, but it sounded like Marshall gifted them two easy goals to let them back in and we went to pieces for half hour.......

Hopefully the boys that went will let us know exactly what happeed but that's the way it sounds to me...

Two mistakes so technically we should have won 4-3 :old:

Agreed, this is the only week that excuse seems to have any value. Malky still needs to answer for the other 3 goals IMO.

Why if you are a defender and your keeper starts making mistakes, you start to wonder if he will come and take the ball or not, it makes you unsure of what to do and causes panic.

If you have watched football surely you will have seen this happen before????!

I wasn't there though so and only heard the mistakes on the radio, so will wait to see the goals and what the fans that were there thought....

I do see where your coming from a bit but I think it is a bit of a kop out to blame a goalkeeper for unsettling a defence.

Same as you though, will hang fire for now and wait and see the goals.

Whats the normal game sit back after scoring tactic then watch us get a hammering away from home like tonights abortion that was always comming sooner or later, marsahll wouldnt have been in that situation if we wasnt camped on our box simple as that

Just seen the goals now they were awfull first was an easy catch dropped, second terrible marking, third nightmare from Marshall again, fourth bad defending and Marshall could have done better, fifth bad defending again. It looks to me like the back four and keeper had a nightmare but that Marshall started it by two really bad mistakes, and was at fault for this loss. I am sure he will come out in the echo and say as much....

Just seem the goals aswell, Marshall was at fault for goals 1 and 3. 2, 4 & 5 was shocking defending.

Would have to say though that I stick by what I said having seen the goals, to say that Marshall unsettled the defence is way off the mark IMO.

OK agree to differ then maybe defenders play better when their keepers drop easy catches and let in easy free kicks, maybe it makes them more confident, maybe we should get a worse keeper to reassure them and help them play better

some times you are right but tonight whilst he made mistake it had no effect on the mistakes defenders made! no one on post, no one marking players in area! goaly not the cause of mistakes just rank bad defending simples!!

Bluebina, what do you want, someone to hold
The defenders hands? Marshall drops a cross and that unsettles them? realy? their grown men and proffesional footballers, why your trying to blame
Shit defending on the goalkeeper is beyond me.

If they get rattled by their goalkeeper dropping a cross then they should't be on the field, pathetic
