No threat

We had Noone on one flank but nothing on the other. Whitts sitting to deep AGAIN. Why when we score do we sit back away from home ?
Fair play at home, but away Malky is clueless and I have to say Gestede is useless we have better than that. f**k me he must be gobbling off Malky. Did we not spend a million on a striker ? Don't know his name coz Malky never Fooking uses him.
Grrrrrrr ok Gwyn I'm pissy now fella ........again !!

That's strange. I didn't hear anyone complaining about Whittingham being deep last Saturday.

And the striker's name you're looking for is Velikonja. Everybody else knows his name :?

If we'd started with Frei instead of Kim of the left, things would have looked different.

Whitts too deep is pissing me off though, save that for Cowie

Again, where were these sorts of complaints last Saturday evening?

If he had dropped kim u would be moaning about him changing a winning team. He went 442 which all you managers wanted and its still MM fault?

You can't win against the moaners.

We're playing without a genuine striker. Doesn't seem to be a problem at home, but away our weaknesses are shown up..

in my opinion Rudy did well when he came on. He never gave the ball away, people are just on his back for the sake of it

Agree.

Sorry but Cowie yet again had no impact or effect especially when moved to the flank. Kim-Bo off Frei on in the 70th minute would have been great.

He gave the ball away once when he tried to make a pass. Won one header, made one good touch. The only reason he didn't give it away was because he never had it

I bash gestede but today he did well i also give cowie hard time but he did well in patches, as for kimbo his vision was good but just lacked confidence to run at full back but we lost simple as that just need move on

Gestede didn't have the ball at all once he came on.

How anyone can say he had a good game is beyond me.

You must have missed the second half, then.

Well I exaggerated slightly but I think I saw two completed lay offs, one which ended up going 20 yards back away from goal.

Every other time he just fell over or lost the ball under very little pressure.

So he did touch the ball, then.

I didn't say he didn't touch it I said he didn't have it.

When did he ever control it and hold it up?

Marshall had better hold up play

Whitts is by far the best attacking midfielder in the Championship. Cowie is average in the same position so sorry if I disagree. Whitts in front of the back four is a waste I have said this nearly all season.
And I know his name you plick I was being sarcastic
You tell me that Whitts in an attacking position is not a game changer or a match winner. If Malky had Messi he would play him in goal.
And hello Craig me old mucker !

Agree here. Cowie again was ineffective.

The issue is Malky expects too much of Whitts. Whitts is as his peak and he needs to use Whitt's advantages. He's no complete player like Yaya Toure he's a creative midfielder, he can't expect him to be a box to box midfielder. Get Cowie to cover the back 4 or McPhail, let Whitts push forward and we've seen the effect and such a threat that gives us.
