' 2 AWAYS IN QUICK SUCCESSION '

Thu Nov 01, 2012 5:02 pm

This format of playing 2 home then 2 away seems ludicrous to me and it seems that is the thinking of many fans, is there anyone in favour of this format ?

On the other hand does playing 2 home games in quick succession have benefits ?

Or would you rather we go back to the traditional 1 home, 1 away ?

It's madness! In my opinion is part of the reason that crowds in the Championship are down. If I didn't have a season ticket then last week I would have only gone to the 1 game.

i like it .... i think its more settling for the players to not having to be travelling back and forth every other game!

I dont like it personally to be honest although it is not doing the team any harm :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Its good for the players but not the fans

I think all the travelling the team has to do this month will be very testing with two groups of Saturday / Tuesday away games in the next 4 weeks.

Bolton followed by Charlton involves not only a lot of travelling for the players but also a lot of time away from their families. Barnsley followed by Derby is worse in my opinion with little recovery time or time to prepare.

It's very hard for fans given the costs but for me 4 away games this month involving two groups of Saturday / Tuesday matches and home matches against teams who both won at CCS last season makes it the toughest run of games we have to face this season.

Fingers crossed we don't have one of those Novembers :o

Purely on the financial side for Fans it ain't good. And then there's telling the Mrs there's two away games in a matter of Days is bad for our Health !! :ayatollah:

Wrong for several reasons.

For fans: too expensive, time off work and organising trips

For players: too much travelling in a short space of time (Bolton return late sat night, then to London on Monday).

For clubs: get longer periods of no income.
Definitely affects crowds.

Its ridiculous and makes no sense at all
Another example of fans being priced out of football

I can't afford to go to two away games the same week. :(

it doesnt continue for much longer anyway, but i feel it limits fans if we have a game on a sat and the straight after on a tues..

sooner it changes the better and i think thats around beginning of next month.

It affects people who work every other Saturday, it means a lot of people will have to miss some games, stupid idea I think

it said on sky sports earlier that after Blackburns to next away, they got 4 home games on the bounce!

I would say its a contributing factor in the drop in attendances in the Championship this year.

You still have to travel back and forth anyway, it just means it's longer and more annoying every couple of weeks.

You don't need the Mrs. to damage you're health for you, the alcohol poisoning should be enough

They haven't. They've got 1 home, 1 away, 2 home. Then they go mostly home, away, home, away until february.

Exactly that! But hey... We seem to be coping better the the rest of the teams! Just need to improve our Away performance!
