Last season wen we went 2 Wembley cup final all the gypo's were slagging off the carling cup now they on a good run they say its brilliant, wat a 2 faced bunch of fookers.

Most I know say its doing one over Brendon Rodgers. Bitter and twisted seems to be in their culture.

As far as I am concerned Dave Jones was the biggest failure as a manager we ever had. However when we play the Owls I don't want to see us win because of him. Yes I want us to win for the 3 points. If that happens then nothing else matters. I would soon forget DJ was the opposing manager.

The Jacks didn't want to rub Brenda's nose in it because he was a failure. They did it because he left after saying he wasn't going anywhere, blah, blah and also took their best player (albeit for £15m) in Allen. If Malky did the same I'd be pissed off with him too - just ask Watford fans how they feel.

I couldn't give a toss about Dave Jones either as, like most of us, I was glad to see the back of him.

So your saying beating Liverpool at Anfield isn't worth celebrating?

Getting to the final will always seem sweeter to us as were a Championship club.

On saying that, we did take our eye off of the league whilst on the cup run and our form did suffer.
Still quite a way to go for the jacks to get to the final yet. Cup games are never nailed on.

Yes it is worth celebrating but dont slag the cup competition off 1 season & then sing its praises another.

Average amount of Premier League appearances per player of each time last night.

Liverpool - 4.2

There really wasn't very much of a difference in terms of the resting of players.

Liverpool

Jones - £2.3 million

Carragher - £0
Coates - £7.6 million

Robinson - £0

Allen - £15 million
Shelvey - £1.7 million
Joe Cole - £0

Samed Yesil - £1 million

Steven Gerrard - £0
Luis Suarez - £22.8 million
Raheem Sterling - £6 million

I didn't slag you off for getting to the final, it was quite an achievement... Not sure what to make of our run? Great that we are still in it, or a hinderance? And that, is what is wrong with football! When winning a competition is secondary to finishing 17th in another competition, the game is in trouble...

A win is a win but the transfer fees are irrelevant as they serve as an opinion of one club at that moment in time and we all know how many times Liverpool have got that wrong in recent times. Liverpool started with only 2 players that started against everton which indicates how seriously they took it.
More fool them though and apparently you deserved to win. Enjoy it.

I agree its shocking but to be honest I think you will be fine even if you made it all the way. Theres alot poor teams bellow you that I can't see them escaping relegation

I think you are though I can't tell how Laudrup wants you to play as he doesnt seem to keen on the possession football. To be honest I'm not going to get excited about us going up untill May comes around. I think we are certainly good enough but we have been in this position before and we all know how that ended

Re: jacks & carling cup

beating liverpool is no big scalp these days,

they are just a big name on paper, their league position would suggest swansea beat an average prem league team in a lower position than them. plus id never heard of some of the liverpool players..

another easy draw for them against boro, but when they get to the semis, lets see if they think its a mediocre cup then! arsenal and chelsea will tell you otherwise...

im just hoping their cup run gets in the way of their league results...

In response to that we were playing a bunch of nobodies and kids, transfer fees are relevant. We played against a team full of internationals, with several players who've gone for huge transfer fees.

Yeah like Henderson and downing were worth every penny
Even Allen was overpriced to your benefit. The Liverpool side was made up of players on the wane, those that have never fulfilled potential and new faces trying to make an impact. Yes Gerard and Suarez came on and like I said a win is a win but don't kid yourself that this was a side any better than distinctly below average at best

Any cup run is good and I think Swansea are good for a mid-table/top-half finish

Are Cardiff good enough to join them at the top table? good enough, possibly, but don't think they have the bottle

Once again, i'm not stating that the carling cup is everything but we beat Liverpool at Anfield regardless of the competition. You can't say that having beat Liverpool at Anfield you wouldn't play up the victory, and if you don't think we should be then it just shows how far we've come.

On route to the final what was your biggest scalp? Beating Blackburn at home.

So it's rubbish then. Brilliant performance to even make the play offs last season and were beaten by the better side in west ham. Even losing to Blackpool wasn't bottling it as we lost bothroyd early and Blackpool took their chance. Could have gone either way but wasn't a question of bottle.

The season we lost 6.0 at Preston maybe as it was shite. As the jacks did against Blackpool when you finished 7th.
Year before last too many loan signings and players that didn't care enough. Not so much bottling more too many pissheads. Not having Bellamy in the second leg didn't help either.

So we've had out moments but I guess ignorance leads to cheap shots :ayatollah:
