Also does anyone know anything about the Google Nexus 7?
I've got the Google Nexus 7 and I love it!
The sound quality of the music is every bit as good as my ipod and iphone, without the restrictions of having to connect to itunes every time!
There was an initial problem with the Nexus 7, in that you couldn't view transferred videos in landscape mode, without purchasing an app to solve it, but Google have now released a software update which resolves the issue!
There was also an issue with being able to play content from an external source, such as a memory stick for example, but there is now a cheap app available, which allows you to connect to a memory stick via a cheap lead!
In choosing the Nexus 7, I took into account some excellent reviews on many a review site, one of which you can view here:-
http://www.techradar.com/reviews/pc-mac ... 040/reviewI chose the Nexus 7 mainly because of the reviews and because I couldn't justify spending more than £400 for the ipad!
My one main gripe with my Nexus 7, is that I am unable to watch Sky on it at the moment, which you would be able to do with an ipad or an ipad mini and you'd also be able to download Cardiff City programmes onto your ipad/ipad mini, which I am unable to do at present, on my Google Nexus 7!
Since I bought my Nexus 7 however, the ipad mini has become available, which is far more competetive in it's pricing than the larger ipad 3!
If you are able to connect an external source to it to allow you to be able to play content from a memory stick etc., then it would definitely be worth considering, as it would allow you to be able to buy a cheaper model with less memory, as you could play content from a memory stick, which is far cheaper to store your videos or music content, than paying the extra £80 - £100 for an extra 16gb of memory on the ipad/ipad mini!
Incidentally, I bought the 16gb Nexus 7 version, which eats up 2gb of the supposed 16gb of storage. I'd imagine you'd lose about the same with an ipad or ipad mini!
