*THE BLUE ARMY, RE-CONSIDERATION*

Sun Oct 28, 2012 10:47 am

As some of you know about the last initial push to get this group going but that failed due to a number of reasons, lack off communication, lack of commitment and other various problems. So i and CardiffCityHD are well up for it but he can't commit as much as i can due to exams..which i have none :D! So im also looking for someone to liaison with and help me contact the club and attend meetings with me ( if it gets that far ) i also give my sincere apologies for last time i just hope you understand my reasons and all back it again like you all once did. Because to be frank the atmosphere needs addressing :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

You also left out lack of interest. The owners are not going to back down on this. Time to move on and support the club now

Is everyone excepting the re branding now were top? I think the kit change is adding to the lack of atmosphere...also the randoms that turn up now ,glory hunting and not knowing songs or not used to singing.

It was a great idea and I and others were fully behind it, even set up a meeting with Julian and Wayne who were also keen and fully behind it, Julain offered to juggle things around and give them their own section in the ground and allow like minded souls to swap their seats to congregate together.

It was left with them to get it moving and come back the following week and set up a meeting to start the ball rolling and nothing more was heard from them.
They have both explained they were busy and had school and college, but a call out of common courtesy would have helped.

Think they have lost any trust by lack of courtesy and don't know if they will get as much ,if any backing now from the club, in life you sometimes get a chance and opportunity and if you f**k it up, it may not come around again.

sad really, because I thought it was a real goer.

Hope the idea isnt dead, it has potential. I see wayne quite often so will ask him what the club would think about giving it another go.

I support this but do believe if you want full cooperation of the club you'll have to change the name to something without blue in it because I don't think they'll listen to the ideas of fans with the current name as 'Blue Army'. A shame but that's what I believe.

Now, change it to 'The Dragons' and they'll probably build us a new stand tomorrow.

Just seen the original thread - love the idea. Will back it 110% (as much as possible from the other side of the world), hopefully you can get it going. Is the proposed area still the corner of the Ninian and Canton stands? I reckon somewhere in the Canton, maybe under the scoreboard would be a good place.

So because people are making an effort to create an atmosphere you have to be negative. Whatever.

Re: *THE BLUE ARMY, RE-CONSIDERATION*

fully respect anyone trying to improve the atmosphere
It seemed from where I was in the canton a few people wanted to start chants but didnt want to be the first and for no one to join in
A group together in the canton would hopefully encourage others to join in
Chants and songs backing the team though not all this death to modern football nonsense

Really believe in what you are trying to do. We need MUCH more in the way of colour as well as MUCH more noise. Perhaps you could peruade the Club to provide everone with flags at some games. The cost would be minimal for them in terms of their overall budget. Also we need to come up with a couple of classic songs which are catchy and easy to remember. Surely we must have some musical talent among our fans or someone clever enough to write some appropriate words and put them to some well known songs. Also, what happened to that Besiktas song that we started to sing at the end of last season? I think Ajax were singing it against Man City. I only caught a bit of the game but there seemed a good atmosphere. :ayatollah:
