100 fans away can make a racket and a great atmosphere you can do the same at home ...

answer to all your problems stop being so bloody negative and enjoy the best times in cardiff city history at present and not past and support the boys and make some noise ....

in my opinion the biggest issue lays with the stadium layout, the main singing and standing crowd are to far from the away support for any banter between fans to be generated, and let's face it, with the club winning awards for family club of the year, they ain't gonna change a thing!

We aren't ever going back to NP atmosphere, simple as that, the terracing is gone, alcohol is to expensive to fuel the fans and you face a lifetime ban for over zealous behaviour.

Football has regrettably moved on, I don't think us as fans can do much with things as they are, there's a new breed of football fan these days and our club have our fair share of them, it's only gonna get worse if we get promoted, I think we've just got to accept that albeit begrudgingly.

RESPECT TO ALL CARDIFF CITY FANS

It's not just Cardiff's supporters, the lack of atmosphere is at all new new or more importantly new all seater stadia. There are two factors
1. When you move to the new stadium, all the old traditional sets of supporters are split up, all those old cliques are split up, all those like minded fellas that has taken years to establish are split up all over the new stadia, bonds are broken and new ones will either take a long time to form or will never form as those who are around you are not your types. The only common denominator maybe you all support the same team, but to have a good atmosphere that sometimes isn't enough. You can see this most in evidence when clubs travel away, as all those supporters that regularly go away are pretty much of the same mindset.
2. Being made to sit as is enforced at CCS is not conducive to creating an atmosphere. No one everwants to sing andchant sitting down, it is a physiological barrier. Any one of these two factors help tp destroy any atmosphere, the two, together are catastrophic. What I mean by this, is that the old grounds that have been converted to all seater stadium, still have some atmosphere as they still have the same groups of supporters sitting with each other, so they just have to deal with the element of being made to sit, however even at these grounds the atmosphere is not as good as when they had areas of terracing. White Hart Lane, Upton Park, Anfield, Old Trafford come to mind.

So although, I very much agree with your sentiments, unfortunately there are very real obstacles, both physical and sociological that prevent there ever being a decent atmosphere at the CCS. The club has the power to change these, if they indeed had the motivation to do it, unfortunately I think we all know that they don't. That is the one thing that I think that SH would have benefitted us with, in that he would have been a rare beast in today's footballing environment in understanding how important the atmosphere and supporters are and would have done his best to create that environment in the CCS.

I agree, 100%. It's us as fans, we just don't sing as much.

These ones moaning about the atmosphere must be going home hoarse after singing all match and trying to get people to join in, or are they just moaning and leaving it to others,plastic protesters.

Have any of you noticed the culprits doing their best to get things going, or secretly getting excited about being able to rush home and yet again mona about the lack of atmosphere, some people do positive things, some people do nothing and leave it to others and some people do nothing and just moan.
