I can't be the only one that as seen them play in a dozen colours in dozens of different shirts with lot's of different badges, none of it matters to me, it's my team, whatever colour, whatever badge.

Strip their soul would be a step too far, but changing a shirt colour surely wouldn't be that bad, it's happened to quite a few clubs on quite a few occasions.

Changing the colour for what though? Let's be honest its been done due to one mans whim. History, tradition, integrity ripped out in a minute.
In fairness they've not ripped the soul out, we've let it die with the willingness to roll over for whatever reasons. Them from down the road would never stand for it.

The white shirt was our away kit, white was also part of our traditional colours, no problem with that.
Wearing the red shirt suggests that you're in favour of the rebrand.

Very true - those other fans that held up banners saying "f**k modern football keep cardiff blue" in austria and places like that seem to care more than some of our own fans, it's embrassing. It's not that I wanted Tan to give up and leave - it's that I didn't understand why he wanted red so bad in the first place. Like seriously, why does he care so much about us playing in red? Don't tell me a few extra shirt sales in Asia is the reason, for someone with an £800 million fortune..

But you can't...... Its gone, NP is no more.
Funny thing, It was better in the 80's than the 00's, it was better in the 60's than the 80's, it was better in the 40's than the 60's, it was better in the 20's than the 40'
It was always better through older misty eyes

Identity means alot to me, so does colour but I just thought about the potential financial stability of my club.

This term "one man's whim" seems to be thrown about a lot since the "rebrand"!
There is no evidence to say this is why Tan changed us to red, the same as there is no evidence to say cos it's part of his masterplan to get us to the champions league.
The facts are none of us really know why he wanted us to play in red, not even Alan Whitely having read his interviews on the matter. Whether it will be something that will be beneficial to propel us into future glory, only time will tell. I personally have a belief that it is something to do with attracting investment from China but i have no more reason to believe this than you do for saying he just done it on a whim.
