Time to see what Velikonja and Kim Bo can do!

Thu Oct 25, 2012 11:34 pm

Looks like Smith and Bellamy are going to be out for the Burnley game.

I have a feeling if Velikonja and Kim Bo play they will make a massive impact, win us three points and Burnley won't have a clue how to cope with them too because they would not have seen them before. This is weird but I am actually hoping two of our best players are not available for the Burnley game, give Kim Bo and Velikonja their chance!

It's time to unleash the South Korean and Slovenian marksman loose! Let's see what they can do! :ayatollah:

If these two play I have this nagging feeling they will both provide a massive contribution and both of them will be outstanding.

i agree they need a chance, but if malky hasnt gave them a go yet maybe he still doesnt feel they are ready, hardly a sub appearence for either so id start with.

marshall

connolly hudson turner mcnaughton

conway mutch/gunnar whitts noone

helguson mason

then velikonja for helguson with half hour left and then kimbo for mutch/gunnar and let him push forward,

We're going to suffer this season hes just too stubborn malky,
we all seen velikonja pre season its obvious he could do a better job than mason at this present time

its clearly not good enough we cant rely on craig bellamy he's bonus to us when fit, but his age and and knee's makes him a squad player rather than a key player

I can't see how Malky is stubborn? Why would he change a winning team and when things aren't working he does make changes and tries to mix it up. (not like a certain Mr Dave Jones)

Yes, Mason hasn't been in top form really this season so far but I think you're being a bit harsh on him. His movement was excellent when he came on for Bellers against Watford and his movement caused them all sorts of problems.

I have to agree with you about Bellamy though. With his knee he is a luxury and cannot be relied upon but I don't think we rely on him too much. If Bellamy is injured we can cope but imagine if Whitts was injured? I think that would hit us a lot harder!

I felt sorry for Velikonja tonight he would have made the team for a Europa league match for NK Maribor vs Tottenham and all he is doing for us is sitting on the bench , he deserves a start no doubt he is a quality player.

I agree, surely now they are both ready? KimBo got in the Olympic team of the tournament against some of the best players in the world, played and beat GB, came close against Brazil and impressed in general.
Etien impressed in the preseason, and as you say would be playing Tottenham tonight - so why isn't he ready to play Burnley? I don't understand it, when our best striker gets injured for a season, our other striker goes down the pecking order.

We all want to see Velikonja and Kim but lets face it it'll probably end up being Cowie and Gestede playing ;)

How can watching players in a pre season friendly make you know what this players about and can tell you how he's ready for the league!?!? Its a friendly. They mean jack and are purely a fitness thing in a players and clubs mind.

Nobody on here has managed at a professional level and dealt with big players earning as much in a month as we do in a year. So let's do something a bit wierd and all stick to what we know!

We'll do our job and give the team our support and malky will do his. And I'm certain he knows the squad a million times better than a fan!
