Does anybody know any ways to get out of a phone contract early?

I got 8 months left on my O2 iPhone4 contract. It's ok but I don't get any 3G where I spend half my time.

Do companies ever buy them out for you if you join them?

Rarely will a company but it out for you, but you can buy it out yourself.

I stayed with the same company, but got rid of my HTC contract six weeks early to get a £36 p/m iPhone earlier this year. HTC contract was £20 so had to pay close to £150 to get rid.. Worth it though!

I just read somewhere that phones4U buy out contracts if they have 6 months or less on them.

Going to look into it when I get back to Cardiff.

ever thought of a Sim only contract m8. u can buy a decent phone for 80 sovs. my sim only is with Tesco via the o2 network, i get 750 mins 5000 tex and 1gb of internet for £12.50 per month

mate had a 16 month contract bought out by them.

I'm hoping for my contract to be bought out although I don't think anyone will at the mo as it has quite a way to run, apparently you can transfer your contract to people I they are willin to take it on an then

get down phones4u..mate had a 16 month contract bought out.

What's the deal exactly? Do you have to take a contract out for the same value or can u choose a lower tariff?
