No doubt he'll be wanting Scotland to hammer Wales but he also has the sense to know where his full time job is based and so is doing the sensible thing by just staying quiet.

Here you go:-

MALKY MACKAY reckons the spirit of Celtic can inspire Scotland to beat Wales in Cardiff tonight.

The Hoops pulled off a Champions League last week with a 3-2 victory at Spartak Moscow.

It was the Scottish club’s first away success in the group stages of Europe’s premier competition.

Now Cardiff City boss Mackay has called on Craig Levein’s men to follow in his old club’s footsteps to keep their 2014 dreams alive.

The former defender said: “Scotland just have to keep chipping away. You never know what will happen. Sometimes an away result comes out of nothing.

“Look at Celtic winning 3-2 and scoring in the last minute in Moscow. Who would have ever have thought that?

“That might have to be the case next week in the two Scotland games. We may win somewhere away which is seen as a wee surprise but it could relight the fervor.

“I’m delighted Darren and Steven Fletcher are back. I made my international debut with Darren. He was a child and I was an old man over in Denmark in 2004. He’s a smashing boy who has been through a long, hard struggle.

“It can only be good for the country to see him back in a Scotland strip again while it’s great we have a quality striker in Steven back.”

Mackay will be joined by several members of his family at the game and admits he will have divided loyalties ahead of Friday’s Group A showdown.

He said: “I have an affinity with Wales but I’m also a passionate Scot so it will be a smashing evening.

“Wales versus Scotland in Cardiff is extra sweet for me. I’m proud to have played for my country but it’ll be lovely as I’m also representing Cardiff City.”

Not being stupid, but anyone who criticises him for supporting scotland isn't all there, but no doubt there would be some

If we were managers at an English club and wales we're playing England we would all support Wales wouldn't we...

As long as we finally get 3 points on the board tonight i don't care who supports who! :ayatollah:
