Coleman out I agree, who do you replace him with ?
I am a B Licence coach who gained my qualification UEFA B Licence through the FAW. I have also worked for the FAW on a part time basis when Gary Speed was in charge. My opinion was Gary was a breath of fresh air the second he walked through those doors. However and it`s a big however and only my opinion, the FAW setup is run by old farts with suits who drain as much as they can out of the setup. Trips abroad with all level teams and 5 star Hotels at great expense. I agree that the players should receive this type of treatment but not the old fart team in the background. Brian Flyn who I was lucky enough to be involved with whilst coaching is truly an amazing coach and person. The FAW do not take him serious and my opinion do not rate him as a coach, although his record speaks for itself, ask Ramsey, Bale etc.
When I was going through my C and B badges I hated the coaching staff, one in particular but obvioulsy will not name him. They are all so big headed and favoured coaches from bigger clubs. On several occasions I was lucky enough to be alongside Steve Mcphail, Kevin Cooper and a few other Cardiff and Swansea players taking their badges also. These current players at the time received all the attention on the course which was so evident to others like myself. Most of the FAW coaches were big headed, "know it alls" and I never had enough courage to ask questions during any course because I knew I would be belittled by them. I have never bought a ticket to watch my country since then.
The FAW are a very amature in every department and desperately need a massive reshuffle. I think Gary Speed would have played a big part in this happening but I guess we will never know. After spending all that money on those coaching courses I have become so disillusioned with football in general and no longer coach.
