We have not moved forward under them, in fact just further and further backwards.
in my opinion.
I was in town today, Scotts every where in their Kilts, Men in there 40's/50/'s/60's all here for a good time.
They wanted 15,000 tickets, we should of at least given them 10,000.
More money for us and u never know, one day we in our dreams might need a favour of them.
Also the more I think about Chris Coleman and John Hartson being in charge, the more I realise the FA have no intelligence at all.
They all go the away games, in suits paid by us, flights/meals/hotels all paid for.
Its not just Coleman who needs to go, its the whole FA.
And they never supported our entrance back in to Europe, rem what they did to Newport.

I think we all realised the full extent of their cluelessness when they got rid of Dutch Ray and Osian Roberts, men who could have guided us to at least challenging for WC Qualification using the philosophies of Gary Speed. Appalling, worse than the English FA.

I thought Osian Roberts was still involved. I agree, though, the FAW seem more out of touch than their English neighbours. A load of suits, living the high life, travelling abroad and staying in 5 star hotels etc, but what do they give in return?
Time for an overhaul, in my opinion.

As someone who has been on work experience at the FAW recently, just though I'd let you know the some of these things about '5 star hotels' etc are a load of rubbish! They work hard to get Welsh Football to where it should be and they are trying to get people to come and watch their country play. So how about instead of moaning, you get off your asses and go watch the team play tonight!!

How about you get your facts right. I know they've stayed at 5 star hotels. Ask them about a place in Italy called Rimini, for instance, newbie.

Annis they are ancient and stuck in the 1960s. Theyve got more comittee members than weve got footballers.
Brian Flynn was paid just £20k a YEAR and he was head of all teams under 21's and below. Insulting.
I will say, the fixtures secratary, Wolvesy (Merthyr fan) is an absolute diamond of a bloke and also gets paid peanuts doing a good job.

Welsh FA are lining their own pockets with hotels, spending money, free tickets with their families etc etc...
Need to get rid of the old farts and introduce radical game for the game in Wales, some younger committee members with fresh ideas are needed.

Things were bad enough when Alun Evans was in charge, almost took Welsh football back to the stone age.
This new lot look like exceeding even that scenario!

True. I didn't think that was possible!

Sad but............all so very very true. Why do we need so many people to run the FA of Wales.......most of them are all gin soaked old farts looking for a freebie. We should stop pumping money into that waste of time the Welsh premiership.............which is full of scousers.........and put a bit of money into grass roots football in wales to breed more young players.

I sometimes wonder if the Welsh FA are there to take the wrap from us fans. We all had a go at them when they the managers job to Gary Speed. A person who was failing at Sheff Utd and struggled to get it right at first with the Welsh job.The criticism of the Welsh FA died a bit when Speed started producing the results.
Speeds short time with us showed that we have a team that can challenge with the best and not embarrass us. So we have it and Speed showed it can be harnessed so where has it all gone wrong? In situations like this the manager upwards has to take the blame.

I applied for a job with them once as an administrative assistant but got rejected because I didn't have experience of playing football at a semi professional level... for an administrative assistant role... f**k me.

I had a long meeting with them back last year after some fans asked me to. Amongst other things I spoke to them about centralising club websites, central online shops for all the clubs, data capture for various fan bases etc, ticketing and how they could sell tickets from anywhere and at several locations around the country.
I offered it on a plate, yet everything I said they told me they were either already doing or about to do. A year on and they've not moved on. In fact I think two clubs have gone to the wall since then and if they'd introduced some of the revenue streams that I told them about then maybe that would have been enough to keep those clubs alive.
One of the clubs I looked at was even selling kit via ebay ffs and I know for a fact that they were paying more in ebay fees than they were earning of it. To be fair, individually most Welsh club's are not big enough to run their own online shops, but collectively you could centralise them all on to one. As football fans we often buy shirts etc because we simply like the shirt, especially to take on our hols etc. That would have provided that facility to do that.

Probably one of those fool councillors. Imagine if all the cash they spent on jollies was put into grassroots football instead? We could have our own centres of excellence or maybe a place like what the english just built... st georges park or whatever.
Scandalous really.

I'm sure I heard the other day that we are actually ahead of England (or at least giving them tips, which is essentially the same) as regards implementing all this small-sided stuff that will help us become more technically proficient etc.

I didnt know they were playing tonight?
Also they do stay in top hotels abroad as when Ive had to get my tickets from there Ive seen them personally, also work experience staying in them as well, another surprise Hmm.
They have sent Wales further backwards and thats my honest strong opinion.

I honestly don't see a future for the Welsh national team.
The people in charge now are never going to let go of their cushy positions and perks even if the whole LoW and national team falls apart around them.
Personally I would much rather a British National team, it would centralise the funds and prevent all the waste that goes on now.
And being honest we're never going to qualify for a tournament but it would be great if we could watch Bale/Ramsey/Allen pulling on a British shirt in Rio rather than just risking their careers in nothing games.

Sounds like you are an FAW full time employee or a member of the Welsh press who post their support of the Coleman regime on this site, they are deluded on their.
http://apostlewelshfootie.proboards.com ... rd=generalAnyone who wants to know about the FAW should read Nev Southall's book, he is scathing & really lays into them,a bunch of alcoholic freeloaders.
According to Nev when Yorath's contract ran out they refused to renew it over a sum of £30.
A good read as well

A good read as well

read it mate, top read, this person must still be on their pay roll.
Aye he must be or a Welsh journalist they are all for Coleman & post on messageboards anonymously especially on that website.
The Welsh FA must be stupid, they employ that pleb Hartson to coach their strikers & wasting funds on a player who's scoring record is poor instead of employing an ex world class striker Ian Rush who works for the Welsh schools FA like Osian Roberts.
So FAW why waste money?

Trying to get people to come watch the team play? Try reducing the prices for adult tickets... easy really ain't it

Or try letting people know about the games!!! Honestly, the last home game, I only knew about it because I was talking to Rob Earnshaw a few days before. I didn't even know there was a game on and I'm on here every day. So your average Joe in the street wouldn't have had a clue either.
