' Dons chief wants to emulate Swansea City '
Oct 10 2012 By Jacob Murtagh
NEW boss Neal Ardley wants AFC Wimbledon to follow in the footsteps of Swansea City and climb up the leagues.
The former Dons midfielder was unveiled as Terry Brown's successor this afternoon after leaving his post as head of academy at Cardiff City.
Ardley takes over a Wimbledon side who are struggling at the wrong end of League Two and has made staying up his first priority.
But he hopes to help build a club that are capable of going through the divisions, like Swansea who were on the verge of relegation to the Conference to promotion to the Premier League.
“Long-term we've got to look to go up a league,” said the 40-year-old.
“I would like to build the club from the top downwards and get the recruitment right.
“We want to develop a playing style and one of the best examples is Swansea. I'm not saying we will be playing exactly the same way as them but that's the benchmark of how you want to develop a club and sustain it.
“But Rome wasn't built in a day and hopefully with a bit of bravery and patience we'll get it right.
“The only thing we're concerned about is getting 40 more points this season and we don't care how we do it in the short-term.”

Ards has already told the chairman to take a cva and pay the creditors 5p in the £. That's how you emulate Swansea's start to the rise up the football league. Whoops silly me that would now invoke a points deduction.

Despite the fact you keep saying that, it still wouldn't result in a points deduction as we have previously established on several occasions.

Absolute bull-we all know that a cva leads to a deduction because of what you lot (and a fair few others) did. The fact that you bite everytime i say it says it all.

Read this slowly so you understand it:
A points deduction results from a club going into administration. A further points deduction or other penalties will result if a club exits administration without a CVA (Leeds being the best example of this).
A club is not punished with a points deduction if it arranges it's own CVA without going into Administration, which is what happened in our case.
It's not that difficult to grasp.

You entered a cva to shaft creditors. The reason why pts deductions are in place is because of the likes of your club and Leicester who used cvas to screw honest hardworking people.

And as has also been previously established, the £60k odd of local creditors who took 5p in the pound have made far more out of the club as a result of that.
Anyway, back to the point of my original post, good to see that young managers are using Swansea's footballing style as a benchmark and an example of how to play and be successful.

I'm sure afc wimbledon will be delighted to go on a losing run of games and not be able to defend set pieces. Good luck in the relegation battle-i sincerely hope that karma is the winner

the jerks have no morals when it comes to finances. They have this arrogant belief that they are superior to us because they have no debt (caused by them screwing their creditors). As i said Karma is a wonderful thing and in the near future they will get what they deserve.

Change the phucking record Gareth you bitter, bitter man.
The story was about how AFC Wimbledon's manager wants his teams to play the same style of football that has brought us success. Nothing to do with finances.
The fact that you think you hold the moral high ground when it comes to finances after you sold your soul is quite frankly, ridiculous.

In what way have we sold our soul? Ah yes we play in red. Pathetic argument.
An opinion you're entitled to opinion. Mine differs on whether or not that is classed as soul selling. As it seems does many of your fans.
Now answer the question about John Hollins.
I did.
