The grandstand-it's an embarrassment

Wed Oct 10, 2012 8:26 am

How empty it looks on many occasions, so why don't the club offer ambassadors seats in there for maybe £20 on top of what they have already paid and chuck in a pie and a pint, sell our seats off and give supporters an opportunity to have a look at the facilities and maybe the club would get some supporters switching permanently. They should also drop the prices in general especially in those corner seats.

Why would they, they would rather half an empty section of the ground which makes no sence at all tbh, i would rather something over nothing and nothing is what there getting with half an empty areas of the ground, but im not the club :?

they do offer upgrades on your ticket to any part of the ground, you pay the difference between the value of your seat and the one you want..

ive done it a few times..

I'm aware of that, I was enquiring about facilities, what you get etc.

its ok, on level 3 or 4 up top tier good view, lots of birds standing around looking the part but not actually doing anything, but the price of beer is more expensive and you cant wear trainers/daps etc..

sitting in the lower grandstand, i dont see the point.. the view is the same as the ninian stand, but the bar area on that side is really small as you go up the steps to it.

There are different packages you can get. There is the 3 course meal sit down before the match option or if you are on the higher level there is bar up there where you can sit down and have pub grub type stuff if you wish.

Me, my father and uncles do the hospitality package for one game a season around Christmas time and to be fair it's a great day.

All done to a decent standard up there and also quite expensive.

Its more about view & comfort. Swapped 2 seasons ago much better conditions. To watch foooty. Is it worth £400 more matter opinion realy but I think so get upgrade for game is best way. To know. ..

Only part of the stadium that is worth going in is the family stand now. All the kids are the only ones who sing. All the oldies are just boring and moan and tell you to sit down to get out of the way. Whinging old people...

I have to agree with you on this, even the big games, it looks empty.

The atmosphere is bad enough where I sit, so I wouldn't want to go in the grandstand, where I'm sure it's like a library. When I travel by train, I don't go into the Quiet Carriage, so I won't be going in the grandstand at the CCS in the near future - unless I'm forced at gunpoint.

You can just walk up there from the Canton Stand anyway

The fans there do clap occasionally on corners so they are not zombies contrary to belief. :D :ayatollah:

Fair enough. I can't hear that from where I'm sat, or see it, due to my age. Will they sing at all this season, do you think?

Fingers crossed Nedd we need them to be more animated, :ayatollah: Ninian we had a good crack in Block A, we had people singing in Bob as well as the Grange end. Now sadly the grandstand dont sing, limited noise in the other areas. If we get promoted I would like to think this would get better but who knows !!!!! Beating Blackpool at home recently hardly any chanting.

Every ground has a posh and high class stand.

It's all down to the prices, if they were normal priced tickets then it would be full
