I was asked these questions recently in the pub,so i thought i would put them to you.1-if you could pick 1 player from the past to play in city's team now,who would it be? 2-if u could go back in time and watch 1 past city match again, what match would u choose? some great players and games,i went for "GRAEME KAVANAGH" and city 3 swansea 3 that john bucannan screamer.i can still see those jack twats faces when he scored!!!!!!!!

1 - Phil Stant
Always gave 110% and would bang goals in from anywhere, even with limted service.
2 - Cardiff v Leeds (FA Cup 2-1 victory with Sam waliking around the pitch)
Never been in such a hostile atmosphere, and there were a few at Ninian Park. I was a ST holder in Block D of the Grandstand at the time and even the older guys around me -between 50 & 70 years of age - who were normally quite placid and never sung were spitting nails and calling for the ritual killing of every Leeds player, especially Lee Bowyer who should have been in jail at the time. Unbelievable atmosphere and never to be repeated methinks.

1. Ian gibson (or wille anderson if "gibbo" was too busy in the bookies)
2.Cardiff v Hereford, we beat them 2-0 on a wednesday night, (allan cambell scored both goals, i think) hereford were already promoted as champions and had hardly lost a game all season, with our victory it virtually guaranteed that we goined them, the atmosphere was brilliant, the crowd was given as 35,000, which was then a record crowd for the old third division, but all those who were there that night will tell you, there were more like 45,000 in ninian park.

1) Peter Thorne - Based on the squad now & our starting line up. I think Thorne is the best target man I have ever witnessed.
2) Cardiff vs QPR play off final. What a great day!

Most of the players mentioned wouldn't do a lot of good in today's game at this level.
I'd have to go with someone more recent like McCormack
City game I'd go back to would be City vs Leeds 2002, shame I was only 6 so I couldn't be there
