Fair assessment there Annis, wouldn't argue with that.

I agree when Bells plays 9 out of 10 games he is one of the best, but he cant figure near the top in my opinion as he does not play enough, needs to play at least 30 games this season for us.

I'd say Taylor and Gunnar should be higher there, they should be above Mutch, Helguson and Mason :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Agreed I wouldn't have Bellars that high through lack of games, also don't think Helgar belongs there, he may not have been scoring, but has been putting a hell of a lot of work in and has won a fair amount of ball in most games for other players.

For me Connolly, Whittingham, Hudson and Smith have been our best performers, in that order. The positioning and football nous Connolly has shown has really helped our defence - his boot seems to go round the centre forward and tip the ball off him!

Huds I've always rated, if he had any pace he's be up a league like Whitts - Huds has also been good in attack. Where I rate Hudson more highly this season over last is his increased presence and dynamism, he drives from the back.

Smith was a bit rusty when he started, but soon got in the swing of things and made Kev look far stronger in defence as a result.

Honourable mention in the last 3/4 games to Taylor - thought he was a little suspect at times, but he has played really well these last few weeks - again like Kev, makes helluva difference with a winger in front who pushes the oppo fullback towards his own goal, and stays out wide to defend the flanks.

I think Mutch and Connoly deserve to have higher ratings. But other than that cant see much else wrong with them

Got to say Annis that is wrong. Craig Conway got an 8 against Ipswich on Saturday :ayatollah: Now being his only game that makes an average of 8 which puts him top :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

I never thought I'de say this but I think our most consistent performers have been Mark Hudson and only matched by Tommy Smith. There have been excellent performers such as Bellers, Whitts, Noone and I think Connolly but for constant solid performances Smith & Hudson stand out for me :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Mark Hudson by a country mile is my choice as player of the season so far.

I'D PUT HELGUSON UP HIGHER!!

Not everyones cup of tea, but played every game up front, scored three
and we've won seven games. Working his bollocks off!! :ayatollah:

Even in the two games we lost we scored two goals, so could rightly blame
the defence for those losses!!

Jordan Mutch should be higher. Steely midfielder does the shit jobs that Rae, oil used to do but does them far better with a far better all round game. He will become a top player for us.

Hudson should be higher as should helgusson. Noone is hot and cold but it seems people only remember the good games. Score more like 6 for for him I reckon, but I still want him in my team as when he's on it he can be devastating :ayatollah:

Connolly for me offers the perfect foil for Hudson, can't see Turner getting back in unless there is a injury.

Connolly above Smith for me on the the games they have played here at CCFC.

The signing of Craig Conway last season was the one i was most impreesed with - There is alot more to come from him this season, when needed :ayatollah:

Noone not quite so high up for me.

Very good player, but not consistent enough for me yet. Lets hope he settles down and gets more consistency in time.
