It's a fantastic book, Robin Friday was way before my time, but from the stories I heard about him, I had to give the book a read as he seemed one hell of a character. The book tells you everything he got up to, on and off the pitch. One thing for sure is there was only one Robin Friday!

It is a great read. I know he was a bad lad and Harry Parson said that he was the worst human being he ever met, but to die so young was tragic. I was lucky enough to see every game he played at Ninian Park and if he had wanted to he could have been a top player at the highest level. But his lifestyle got in the way. Hope you enjoy it.

Yes read the book....excellent read
What a waste of talent though.....he could have had it all
He wouldn't have lasted a minute in today's world however as he'd be in the papers every day!
Seen his games at Ninian - was my first year of watching as a youngster so can't really recall all the stories tbh

Its a great book. Their going to make a film based on it too:
http://www.empireonline.com/news/story.asp?NID=35002I bet Mark Lawrenson is not looking forward to it though. I don't know who the manufacturer of his kitbag was but when he looked inside it after the game, I bet it certainly wasn't Admiral.
