Who and how did they come to that?
I would say this squad had a lot more value than previous squads tho.

Should have read "I reckon" what the squad is worth having looked at our players on the main site and estimated their traansfer value :ayatollah:
Didn't include Bellamy or Harris

I think you have over estimated them a little. Put a list of the squad and everyone can guess the values :ayatollah:

I'd say around £30m at most
Bellers, Maynard and Whitts make up around £10-11m based on form so I think £30m is sensible enough

Maynard based on form, he has played 2 games for us and is injured. However, I do agree but maybe £30 mill is on the high side. Maybe something between £20-£30 mill would be more realistic.

By based on form I meant when they are all playing well. When they are I'd value Whitts at £4m Bellers at £5m, Maynard at £2-3

Helguson is 35 2 years older. I think Bellamy would be snapped up by a lot of prem teams but thankfully hes ours. :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

correct.maynard would be a transfer with loads of add ons due to his injury list and whitts isn,t a spring chicken.fair to say your squad is a good one though.

Exactly 33 with dodgy knees - a lot of prem clubs would take a punt on a free but not for a fee.
Man city to Liverpool - free
Liverpool to cardiff - free
Cardiff to xxxxx - 3m??? I think not

So would helgusson. And who would pay £2m for kiss or Conway? In fact most of the figures are nonsense :ayatollah:

I know that fella, I was just agreeing with your Bellamy post really. Interesting topic but what I will say is the only players we could get over a £1m for at the moment are Whitts, Turner, Noone, Kim Bo and maybe Mutch.

It tough.
You think of a value of a player and then think, actually if they were sold for that I'd be fuming

luke, when we sold johnson and dann some fans valued them at 6 and 8 m.they went far about 3 or 4 each.the fans shouted about the firesale .load of charlie hollix.scott parker went for 6m and he was a england regular.best way to access it is would any cardiff fan be happy to pay 7m for whitts at the age of 28 who has only played in the champ as a regulat player?would any one want tan to pay 3m for a 33year old with dodgy knees and a history of being in the papers for the wrong reasons?

Know what you mean. It's about who would pay. Don't think many prem clubs will be interested in most if our squad so that leaves top championship sides so straight away the price will be lower. Then again if Blackburn paid £8m for Rhodes then maybe helguson is worth £1.5m after all

Re: Value of squad

Jtc I agree, it's a fine line really.
With us at the moment it's easier to keep players as Ray Ranson has a mortgage over our sales so basically we only sell player we don't want or offers way over value. Since Tan took over I don't think we have sold anyone we wanted to keep for those reasons

very fine luke.you don,t need to sell so a lot of it is hyperthetical.earnie ,gerrard blake etc moved on.all the squad players like harris etc are young kids. now they may have a sell on price cos of their age. that,s if they kick a ball for you.if you go up these kids need a game.they will get loaned out.diff is they could become something.the older ones who left aren,t going to get better.

How would u rate the value of your squad mate?
Again I guess it's hard due to wages more than anyone ie I guess ud let Zigic go on a free but no one to take him?

Ps how u feeling about the season after recent results

Re: Value of squad

We all have our opinions of what the squad is worth, (i think 25 - 30 mill) but what is not in doubt is that it's worth a damn site more than when the previous manager left, the only asset then was whittingham and that money had been pawned off to ray ranson, so basically, there was NO value on our squad before malky arrived.

Re: Value of squad

a player is only worth what a club is willing to pay

Try having a look at the following website

Anyone who suggested close to £26.8m is not far off.
