is a season ticket good value for money?

Sun Oct 07, 2012 11:29 am

with this dynamic pricing, people have mentioned it starts at £17 when they first come out.

My season ticket cost me £399 in the ninian stand, which works out at £17.35 per game, yet we were told that even with this new system a season ticket would always be the best price you could get.

so not only is it more money (ok hardly much more, but its the principle) you also have to fork out £399 in one go instead of spreading it out into 23 payments of £17.

Bigger games start at £19 & £21, depending who it is, say Leeds/ Leicester etc.

You have no booking fee every other week and the headache of buying them all the time and yr seat is reserved.

right thats fair enough i thought it always started at the same but just went up if they sold quicker?

how much is the booking fee? so your not actually getting you ticket for £17 then if you have to pay a booking fee on top?

it would be interesting to see how much it would cost to buy an individual ticket for every game this season, if you bought at the lowest price and compare it to a season ticket!

Where's yer seat located? The "buy early" cheaper option seats are towards the front and near the corners, seats further back and in the dry are normally £23ish.

To answer the question, yes. Paid £419 for my ST in block 103 (100% dry, even against Brum!). Great view of the pitch. Works out at £18 per game. Good enough for me. :ayatollah:

If I didn't have a ST I'd be reluctant to go to ANY home game as the overall price adds up, its why I'm glad to be a ST

I suppose you have a point. My season ticket works out at just over £14 per game, but I know I will be attending every game so it is worthwhile.

However, if you want to pick and choose your games and the starting prices are either £17 or £19 I suppose in theory there is a huge saving to be made.

dont get me wrong i'm not complaining about the value for money!! i think its good, im just saying people are complaining the dynamic makes it too expensive, but you can actually save money against a season ticket price on most games! doesn't make sense!
