A forum for all things Cardiff City

Coming on here this morning i can't help but think that a lot if our fans have been conditioned to expect us to start well only for it all to end in tears!
Admittedly that won't be a game that i'll be watching for years to come but it was a great result for us, in a fixture (along with leicester away) that i usually write off at the beginning of the season.
We missed 4 first team players including probably the best player in the league yet we came away with the points. I thought Malky's subs were excellent yesterday. Both Conway and Rudy had a huge impact in my opinion. My only surprise is that it has taken so long for conway to make the bench having seen his pre-season form.
We've looked excellent in our home games this season but the absence of bellamy who has been unbelievable in our last two games was bound to be a huge loss.
I am a little concerned that having lost maynard (an absolutely huge loss to us) when bellamy isn't available we do look a little baron up top and i believe DJ Campbell would have been a great addition on a 3 month loan to fill the gap.
I hope Malky brings someone in, perhaps Connor Wickham would be a decent shout.
Anyway we're top of the league, looking imperious at home and grinding out results away. Yes i would like to see us a little bit more adventurous on our travels but let's have some perspective, we won 2-1 in a ground we never win at and we've got 3 big players returning for forest in 2 weeks time.

spot on!! thats 2 points from every game so far this season, know its early on but thats promotion material in my book.over the years in this division the team who has the balls and goes top early on seems to stay there or there abouts..
