With Maynard being out for the season and no replacement coming in I would have kept earnie, but then I guess the loan deal was already done

But mason has been playing mostly wide, can't see earnie playing that role :?

Earnie was a good striker but not up to this league and that's why he has had to go all the way to Israel

And i thought i was the one being harsh at the moment  To be fair to Mason he hasn't played much then when he gets a start he ends up in Midfield :o Play players in there rightfull positions especially when they are Fit.

Gotta agree with this, hopefully now after Conway's impact yesterday and with Smith to come back also Bellamy & Kimbo maybe Malky might play Mason more as a striker/support striker :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Regardless where mason is playing he is still unproven,
alot of his goals come from through ball's he can finish which is cool......

but I mean what else do we have to go by other than if the defenders are good and physical he is marked out of the game,
If we are playing a defensively poor side he does well due to more errors

I think where mason is playing is very relevant.

I agree Earnshaw could have played a good squad role this season. However, Earnshaw was on massive wages, and wages that were too high for a 'squad player' in my opinion.

Had you seen the goal posted on here by Annis from youtube which he scrapped in for maccabi tel aviv against a piss poor defence (on parity with our Third Division ) would you honestly flash the cheque book if you were MM and sign him up as the answer to obtaining a prolific 20 goal a season goalscorer in this Division!?? also anyone who thinks Gestade is the solution needs a reality check as just making a nuisance of youself in the opposition half does not merit being a capable striker and i belive at this stage of his career he needs to greatly improve his ball control, distribution to compete in this team.

I think Mason has gone backwards since last season,i do wish Mackay would play the lad in a more attacking role, where i think he could be more affective
