What is the tipping point for you?

Fri Oct 05, 2012 7:16 pm

What is your tipping point regarding stopping going to watch City?
I know some stopped because "it's shit down there these days" and some stopped because of the colour change. But what would make you stop going? Would it be the loss of the Bluebird/change of name etc..

For me I think it would be the Bluebird going. I hate the rebrand and always will but I'll still the there, but if they take our Bluebird away that's the last straw for me

As soon as the rebrand came in.

If the name ever changes then that's it.

Not sure but it will be a "that's it moment" when the time comes. The Bluebird going and having red seats could be the point.
But remember TG stated not long ago the Bluebird nickname will not go, and we will always be the Bluebirds. If they lie to us again that will reach a very big point for me.

They also said we wouldn't be playing in red and the badge won't be touched....

They want to change the name or Tan does. If he could he would but he cant to he can stick that where the sun dont shine. He has got the Dragon on the badge and his name, we knew from the begining he wanted to get rid of the bluebird.
But i will always shout Bluebirds no matter what Tan says. :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Only if the club moves from Cardiff.

I was born less than a mile from the ground and my family are all from Canton. I don't care what colour they play in, I don't care if they change their name to Malaysia United, I don't care if the badge has a bluebird or a bald eagle on it.

As long as the club plays in my home city, I'll be there. And so will a whole new generation of fans.

If we were no longer called Cardiff City Football Club i would find it hard to go.

Im not far from it now to be fair.

For me it will probably be red seats, getting rid of the bluebird completely or if they try and start playing
Youl never walk alone before every home game.

MK Dons fans come from Milton Keynes, Very few Wimbledon fans follow the club.

If Cardiff changed names completely the people who will go wont be proper Football Fans, they will be jumping on the gravy train, day trippers, cinema goers, if the team struggled, they would be fucked. They would have no fans could would these people stay through thick and thin? would they f**k.

MK Dons were a one off though mate, it was a City with no history, never had a Football Club before so was all new.

As for Orient, I couldnt tell you to much about the history without looking to be honest although I have been there 3 times watching Cardiff at Brisbane Road, I think they call it the Matchroom or something these days and their support has always been 3-4000 at best, aint hered anything about them changing their name, news to me?

To be honest mate, I dont come on here with the intention of being negative but to be honest, Vincent Tan, scares the shit out of me, the bloke hasnt got a clue, he will spit us out once he's bored and we will be well and truly fucked. He has not got a clue about British Football, tradition or history, its a sad state of affairs and whether you like it or not, most people are either laughing at us or pity us as it will all go tits up eventualy.

Leaving Ninian Park, Really hurt me and I have never got over it, but I still go, even though I hate the new stadium.
But I decided to keep going as we were still Cardiff City/Bluebirds/Blue and hoped most of our fans continued from the past and the Atmosphere continued.
Atmosphere now crap.
The Rebranding insulted me/sickened me, but I still go, superb football, but no love there anymore.
Take our nickname from us and Bluebird, might be the final insult to make me say goodbye.

I am still hoping that we will get our identity back some how, who knows.

I'd have to see at the time how I felt tbh but It wouldn't feel right.

My biggest annoyance in recent time when was when Sam took the name Cardiff City off his attempt of a club badge. I don't think the name should be messed with in anyway and must always be on the badge.

If we ever sell our soul to Sky TV, leave Ninian Park, price ordinary fans out of the ground, replace 'Cardiff City' or the bluebird on our shirts with Ken Thorne World of Cars or Vans Direct, or adopt a white (Swans... Leeds...) away shirt.

??????

No, actually I managed to live with all of that and the red home shirt and crap badge - and still follow Cardiff City FC - The Bluebirds - with a passion.

If the club ever re-located to Milton Keynes (even though that would be closer for me) that would be the end.

i think for me . it would be if we do reach the prem. and being surounded by " cardiff fans " saying whats the guys name who plays in goals for us.

When did we replace Cardiff City on the shirt with Ken Thorn World of Cars and Vans Direct? I must have slept through that.
