If you think Ramsey is our best player then you have issues.

This is all.

Re: Coleman out

He is. Alongside Bale.

Best players dont make the best leaders. Not saying I agree with Coleman's decision but just because your the best player on the field doesn't mean you have the best leadership qualities.

I think Coleman is just running out of ideas and hopes Williams can help motivate the squad.

Re: Coleman out

I wanted Coleman out before we had even kicked a ball under his regime. He should never have been given the job in the first place.

It's just a shame that the momentum we built under Gary Speed has been blown away in 4 matches, 2 of which actually count.

I am now in the horrible position of hoping Wales lose, I hate to say, just to get rid of this tosser as it's obvious we are going nowhere with him, and our qualifying campaign is already dead in the water.

IMO he has lost the dressing room already and it's time to get rid.

Re: Coleman out

I love that the Jacks assume we are kicking off because he plays for them.

Incorrect - I'd be quite happy with Allen as Welsh captain - what I'm not happy with is an ENGLISHMAN captaining Wales.

Re: Coleman out

Well he int our best player is he, "alongside" doesn't wash with me. Is he linked to barca in a £60m deal then? No. Ramsey continuously gives the ball away and is the frustration of the arsenal fans, once Wiltshire is bck them he will probably be loaned out to the championship again.

Havent we already got a thread for this too? :?

I've seen no Welsh payer linked with a 60million loud move to Barca.

I disgaree with stripping Ramsey of the captaincy, in fact I disagree with everything Coleman seems to do fullstop.

Just out of curiosity, who would be next in line for the Wales job?

In the eyes of the FA? Probably Coleman's corpse, Hartson, or Flynn.

Most other people seem to want a foreign manager who can (hopefully) reinvigorate Welsh football.

Bale was linked heavily last season, at one stage it said a £32 million deal had been agreed. It later merged that spurs wanted add on equating to 60 million euros.

I'm here to help.

 people don't want a loyal welsh servant as captain as he wasn't born in Wales.... Then was GUIs hiding as manager to lead the team ffs you couldn't make it up on here

Re: Coleman out

Maybe it's just me. But I have no issue with Williams being captain. I find it strange the way it's been handled. My issue is that Coleman is a self loving, useless, egotistical c***

I'm not knocking it, but that's what I suspected when I asked the question. I'm Scottish so probably shouldn't get involved here but as my lad is Welsh and proud of it, in my opinion, it would have to be Giggs next. He would have Ferguson to fall back on for advice, a name that is respected all over Europe and the young players would certainly look up to him. On the downside, his attendance record with Wales is contentious, and he couldn't exactly moan if a few big hitters missed friendly games.

Incidentally, if Wales beat Scotland, there's a good chance that Levein will be out on his arse also... All to play for next week!

On recent international form, Williams shouldn't even be in the team, never mind captain!

Re: Coleman out

Hes been made a scapegoat, he didnt too badly as captain under Gary Speed. Admittly he played badly in the Serbia diaster but has bounced back with Arsenal.

So basically nowhere near the 60 million you mentioned then. Stop making up transfers.

But people are stating that he is a poor, overweight player and the rest of it, which is simply not true. And I'm not a jack.

well it's exactly 60 million yes.

The point being however Ramsey is not a target for any top club, and certainly not for that kind of money. If you think he's as good as bale you may aswell give up football and take up knitting. Allen is better than Ramsey as is Bellamy.

Re: Coleman out

Fri Oct 05, 2012 1:50 pm

People seem to conveniently forget that the games we won with Ramsey as captain were games that were dead rubbers. The wins over Montenegro, Switzerland and Bulgaria were all wins in games that were worthless, seeing as we were out of contention for Euro 2012. We performed well against England but again, it was essentially a dead rubber, and the Norway win was a friendly.

So you've made up a transfer in your head - well done you.

I merely stated that Ramsey is one of our better players. Along with Bale. That's a fair assessment of the situation.
