Was nice to see a few faces tonight, though i was bladdered
I stopped drinking so i could concentrate properly on the football.
My summary:
We didn't exactly play inspirational football, but didnt need to. Birmingham
are going to be a force this season, but we looked better than them all over
the pitch. Bellamy and Co had their defenders shitting themselves from start
to finish.
The defensive tackle from Whitts with ten to go made my night. He really does
what he wants.
Criticism? hmmmmmmm...
McNaughton... his distribution was awful. Sorry, but I dont see how thats going to
improve now. he's no 'kid'

Would have been a premiership player if he could pass.

Kev should have an electrode fitted to his balls which provides a massive jolt of electricity the moment he goes beyond the half way line.

whitts didnt shirk defensive duties at all tonight, him and gunnar were very solid in midfield
taylor apart from once in the first half had burkey in his pocket, well done to him,it seems his consistently good performances are returning

We pressed very high up the field today and it worked.
We weren't amazing but very professional performance.

Thats what stood out for me. We looked bigger, stronger and fitter. At times we
looked as if we were taking the ball back off them at will. Birmingham will have
been right up for this one after beating brighton. The ball was like a hot potato
for their defenders. We started defending on the edge of THEIR box. Excellent!!!
Whittingham?
It was like "Where the f**k do you think your going with my ball?"

to be honest, first half i didnt think gunnarson played that well, fell over too many times, lost the ball and got caught out. was very lucky not have had a card in the first half . 2nd half he improved and worked alot harder.
