They are now called "the rangers football club", which all my rangers mates tell me was their original name over 100 years ago, they have lost the five stars above the badge on their shirt, (each star represents ten league titles) also all their honours / titiles have been taken off them, including showing them in the match day programme.

Not sure about this cityone. This is taken from Wikipedia.....
"As a result of Rangers' "assets, business and history" being sold to a new company when The Rangers Football Club plc (subsequently renamed as RFC 2012 plc) entered the liquidation process, the extent to which Rangers can be regarded as a continuation of the club officially founded in 1872 has been interpreted differently.[119] The Rangers Football Club has been described by some in the mainstream media as a "new club",[120][121] whilst Chief Executive Charles Green has maintained "this is still Rangers",[122][123] with the SPL chairman Neil Doncaster saying "it is an existing club, even though it's a new company"."
The last I heard was that they would possibly lose about 5 of their league titles and 2 or 3 cups but they are fighting it.

The Rangers Football Club, or Newco Rangers... Brand wise, not a lot has changed except they are kicking around in the 3rd Division. Depends on how you look at it, from the outside it is a whole new entity with no history, no records and they have never won a trophy. On the other hand, if you were a Rangers fan, you would probably argue that they are still Rangers and the records still stand.
My old man was a mad Rangers fan, he must be turning in his grave...

Interesting.
If we went down the same route and became Newco Cardiff I wonder if we would have been allowed to join the English pyramid system?

not true, theres no stars on the jersey because its a replica of the 72 top, they hadnt won 50 league titles by then.
the spl or sfa or both are trying to take league titles away from them, so that must mean they have still got those titles to their name.

There's something very wrong with the people in charge in Scottish football.
Rangers NewCo are trying to say they're being harshly treated in this episode but personally I feel that they've got off very very lightly. Especially as one of the top dogs in the game, who put a lot of work in trying to get them back in the SPL/First Division, claims they are the same entity.
