Ryder cup

Sky + it last night and just watched it this morning, what a performance from the European team, I do not play golf but just love this tournament, it has everything to keep you on the edge of your seat, the sheer drama as it was unfolding was at times unbearable, how they kept their cool in such an hot house was unbelevable.

After the fours yesterday, I thought that the Americans, with the momentum behind them were going to walk it, but fair play to the Europeans they stuck at it and were superb in the singles, and it was great to silence the crowd with a faultless performance that swung it back in our favour, this I would say was, and is the greatest team performance in a long long time.

How I wish I could be there for the celebration which will be one hell of a night, well done boys you were brilliant :ayatollah: :old: :ayatollah:

I haven't seen much of it and I don't play golf - or watch very often - but I watched the highlights on BBC last night at stupid o'clock and it really was some achievement.

Europe were 4-10 down and came back and won 14 and a half to 13 and a half. Has there ever been such a comeback in the tournament's history? I'd be surprised if there has. The Yanks were so cocky - the players and the fans - so for Europe to come back like that and win was great to watch.

Well done to all of the European team - and Jose Maria Olazabal as captain - and what a fantastic tribute to the late, great Severiano Ballesteros, may he rest in peace.
