El Plastico

Do not even think about having a browse on facebook or entering a pub who has Sky Sports this afternoon unless you're happy to witness born and bread Cardiff/Valleys boys etc etc wearing Manure or Scouse tops, or arguing about two teams the vast majority have never been to see or even visited the City of the team they support - embarassing.

Football would collapse if everyone adopted this approach - Support your local club.

It's a strange phenomenon, that. I can understand children glory hunting, but not adults.

It really is pathetic. How anyone can follow (the term support cannot be used for these idiots) a team that they have no emotional connection with is beyond me. I've been in exile since 89 and my boys although English born/breed are CCFC diehards. They get so much shit in school (NW Hampshire) from 'followers' of Liverpool, Chelsea, Utd, Citeh etc but they hold their heads up and can say they have been to Wembley 4 times more than the plastics. I am proud to follow CCFC as are my kids.

All over the South and East of England today there will be 1000s of 'diehard scousers/mancs@ claiming to follow their team. Sadly if Rochdale and Accy Stanley became the top 2 clubs in country the same diehards would switch allegiance.

But your kids are not following their local team? That is just as bad in my opinion and their local club being Aldershot in my estimations could do with a few more fans.

Utter crap-my lads are supporting their family team. Both my Grandads and my dad were CCFC and i only lived in Cardiff for 7 years. I've been in exile for 23 years and get back as often as i can.

My issue is with those who support a team that they have no emotional connection and sit in a pub or in an armchair 200 miles away from a place they have never visited. Give me a diehard JB over these idiots any day of the week.
