When your child is ill , and you cant do f**k all to take the pain away ...
Little man is next to me in bed with a nasty chest infecction and a headace so he had his anti biotic and now im holding a wet flannel on his head to cool him down ,would like to take the pain so he could be pain free... gonna be a long night but thats part of beeing a dad and i wouldnt change it

Hope he gets well real soon, my little un is only two, so far no real illnesses save for an accident with a hot iron! So no doubt will experience all the normal childhood ailments the older he gets. You sound like a brilliant dad and hopefully will be back on his feet in no time

Cheers bud , you got it all to come , my princess is 18 months and touch wood

she has been illness free but my lil man been in the wars , i rather stay in and watch him on friday nights that be out on the piss tho , dont miss them days

Don't worry. All these bugs, infections, sniffles, colds etc children pick up are all good in the long run. They give yor childs immune system a good work out and makes it strong and stands them in good stead as they get older. Its not nice seeing yor child ill with a cold etc, but its all good in the long run

All part and parcel my friend. The good outweighs the bad though. The worst is before they can converse and when they are in pain so cannot tell you where it hurts.
My youngest is 3 and she started full time nursery last Monday. Cried every day this week. Pulls at the heart strings but you got to be cruel to be kind sometimes.
