How many of us were there in the old third division when Malcolm Allison was manager and I think we beat them with a Tony Evans goal I believe, but I am terrible for mixing up detail so good be so wrong, just remember there was thousands of us there and it was mental.

I was on you bus Gwyn. Mougs(from Mount) and I missed our bus and you pulled in at Ponty Post Office. Bonesy(Cwmbach) bought a cassette of Queen, A Day At The Races, the only cassette on the bus. It was played all the the way there and back. Can't remember the score or if we won. Just know we had a good day.

I was there too and I also thought it was a Tony Evans goal that won the game - quite a week with the Hereford game following a few days later with the 35K + crowd, a magic night that was....

Gwyn I think it was 1974 and I can say I was there, we took more than Man United who I think played them on the Sat before in the FA cup, we were then playing Hereford on the Tuesday, and big Mal said that we wouldn't get as big a crowd as what Palace had against us,
he bet Jimmy Andrews a bottle of bubbly if we did, and what a crowd we had, we had 35.000 on a Tuesday night, but I thought it was far more, in those days they used to hide a lot more than they can get away with today, those were the days

Remember it well gwyn, allison mouthed off after the game that we would't get 25,000 on the wednesday night against hereford, he was right, we got 35,000, (it was more like 45,000, i'm sure kick off was delayed to get more people in, we won 2-0)

It was the 75/76 promotion season. I reckon we had 6000 at palace that day, Malcolm Allison always wore that big stupid hat while chewing on a cuban cigar the silly fecker.
