car help please

Got a vauxhall astra it fires up and startsrevs up then engine just dies,any help please and yes there is petrol in it,thanks in advance

Common fault on these cars is the coolant sensor, this tells the ecu when the engine is cold and the computer will provide extra fuel into the carb just like a choke works. it's starving the engine when cold, you could try changing the fuel filter but my money is the coolant sensor has gone.

No Probs mate, it's quite a cheap fix to be honest.

Mine does that every now and then. I just leave it a minute do it again with a big rev and its fine.
