Funding raising before Kick off tomorrow

From 6:15 till kick off tomorrow, I’ll be part of a group bucket collecting outside the turnstiles at CCS for the charity ASSET Appeal, which raises money for the Stroke and Rehabilitation wards at Llandough Hospital and The Heath (which is C7 North, where I work as the ward’s housekeeper). If you see one of us on your way in and you have a bit of spare change, even if its just a few pennies, a quid or even a note, please just spare a thought for a friend or loved that has had a stroke. Such an experience as a stroke is a harrowing for all involved and all the staff on my ward do an amazing job in caring and rehabilitating both patients and families to get their lives back on track.

I recently had Lee Jarman’s uncle on the ward for several weeks, unable to move from his bed; but through the dedicated care of our Nurses, Physiotherapists, Occupational therapists, Doctors, Consultants and countless others (housekeepers included ), recovered and was discharged from the ward earlier this week.
