Underestimating Kimbo

Wed Sep 05, 2012 9:39 pm

Am I the only one who thinks people are underestimating kimbo? Way people are talking on here is that noone is gonna be the main man and kimbo is gonna be back up.
I know noone had a good debut and offers pace and trickery but it's only one game and I think kimbo is gonna be a gem of a player, competition for places is superb though and loads of options, malkys head must be fucked picking a first 11 every game

Been watching highlights of him playing for Cerezo Osaka and he truly is a little gem. His pace and vision on the ball is fantastic, leaves defenders for dead, much like Noone did on his debut, Kimbo does that on a regular basis. Playing both Kimbo and Noone on the wings will be sheer domination. I cannot wait! :ayatollah:

Watched him in the Olympics and YouTube videos and impressed but you are right not many people have seen a lot of him and that's why I think he is being underrated

I watched veron in Italy, immense, couldn't cut it in the uk though. Don't think you can judge an overseas player until they have played in the league a few games.

I think the guy will be great for us, but it could take him a while to settle, like it could for any lad coming over.

Didn't use to think it was a problem, then started playing for a German team without knowing any German, seemed like it wa s a completely different game, didnt understand basic calls such as man on, push up, I'm free, etc, it's horrible at first and even though I knew I was good enough for the standard it made me look like a complete donkey

Asian players tend to do well because they generally have an excellent work ethic.

As for Veron, could never understand why he never made it as a star in the UK. Maybe a bit before 4-5-1 became popular and physically couldn't take it in the 4-4-2

He has to adapt to the championship,
I hope kim has a most welcoming enjoyable time here... the owners are practically a half breed from home so at least he's not the only far east movement down here :old:

some teams are tough i'm wondering how he will respond to the physical game, if inamoto can do it kim can do it
