How Far Could We Have Made It?

Wed Sep 05, 2012 8:21 pm

I was just thinking that had we snuck the Carling Cup final and qualified for Europe. How for could we have gone in the competition with our current squad? Would we struggle in the qualifying rounds, faultered in the group stages or what?

to be honest. look what it done to brum. and my 2nd point is. europa cup.a poor mans champion league. i was listening to the newcastle game. and the commentator said . it looked like the midfield didnt want to be here. ok for us it might have been a fun day out in europe. so the answer to your question is. i dont know

It would be nice to see how far off par we are. Could we hold our own or just embarrass ourselves, I also do not know. But the be fair of course the Europa is nowhere near the champs league but is growing in stature, some good teams in the set up this year.

ahh ok, i know they had a slow start to the season when the european games were on, before picking it up towards the end.

anyway, to kinda answer the question, i would rather save being in europe for when we are in the prem :ayatollah:

we would have qualified then struggled in the group stages. like other posters said, we're better off not there. keep our squad for a auto push. :ayatollah:
