Its quite scary how good this side could be. We look frightening going forward, full of pace skill and looks like bags of goals to come. My only worry is how solid we can be at the back. I hope we can make the CCS a fortress. Lets all get on that wave and ride it :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

People werent getting carried away because of the result, or even the performance against Bristol, everyone knows that games like that can happen, and probably will again, what was frustrating everyone was the tactics, and the way the players chose to play the football. It was slow and ponderous, no movement, whitts sitting too deep etc etc. It comes back to tactics and its been like that for longer than one game.

Now, fast forward a week and we played a (in my opinion) very good Wolves side, and played them off the park. Again, (most) people arent getting carried away with the result, but the change to 442, and the potential we can see in signings like noone and maynard, along with other promising displays (smith) AND no Turner or bellamy, with over 3 million worth of talent as unused subs (velikoja and kimbo). there is a lot to be getting excited about really :ayatollah:

SOrry to disagree but people were getting carried away on both occassions Firstly against Bristol people were saying about he stats for cardiff and how many games Cardif hadnt scored and the manager still playing the same way Secondly against Wolves everybody seems to think we are Brazil on the evidence of one performance and saying how fantastic this side is on that one performance They may well be right as there looked a lot of potential but as i said to start ONLY time and more matches will tell us NOT one performance

Agree with everything you said except the part about Wolves being a very good side.

Here is a team that has won 1 league game in there last 18 have lost 2 of their best players and have
a manager who is inexperienced in the English game.

I think they are a poor side, a team on the way down and a club in a mess, I predict a mid table finish at best form Wanderers.

I think they'll do OK this season. I wouldn't be surprised if they got a play-off place.

We're up when we win and down when we lose, a lot of us. I didn't piss myself with excitement when we beat Wolves, but I think we'll batter Leeds after that performance. I'm not getting carried away, though, because it's a long season.

I am very pleased with the new additions to the squad, still worried about our defence but looking forward to another season that will be far from boring.
