Took this from his personal twitter;
"@DekelKeinan: cardiff city supporters-I haven't left the club and i've no idea why I've been removed from the squad list on the back of the program."

feel bad for him tbh

A top guy who always has time for the fans - his treatment by Malky has been very shoddy whether he rates him or not. The way he is made to train with the youth players every day is inexcusable.

Agree. He was the missing link when we collapsed after Christmas under DJ final season. Keinon really shored things up at the back as soon as he played, for a while a least until we imploded. He is a class defender, not up own arse and has time for the fans. Remember him coming out in his trackie-b's after one game that he worked his nuts off at, really humble and grateful for any message of support based on his exemplary performances. Everyone else suited and booted, got the feeling this was a talented and humble chap. Unsure of why he doesn't figure higher, as apart from one fuck-up under the DJ tomatoe-season he played, I thought he was solid. A keeper for definitely and a bargain for another championship side IMO.

He does seem a gd guy and gd trainer but I'm sure he would be allowed to leave if he took a wage cut.
I'm sure the club would happily terminate his contract if it was mutually agreed.

Only one side of the story. There must be more to it.

For starters most clubs have a rule that you have to be in a suit on match days, if the rest of the players were suited and he wasnt this could indicate a problem with discipline. Mark Hughes once fined robinho for not wearing a tie

Feel sorry for Dekel the guy is a top, top professional and credit to him he has been treated worse than Gerrard and he has not thrown his toys out of the pram at all.
Although and I am prepared to take slack for this when he joined us I just never felt safe at the back and he is simply not up to it at this level. He could do a job for a team in the bottom half of the league but not for one chasing promotion. Malky can see this and that's why he has left him out of the squad. But having said that the way Malky has dealt with him has been shocking. He's been a top lad and Malky hasn't even tried to find him another club or at the least off him a settlement and release him from his contract, allowing him to move on.
Whatever happens Good luck Dekel, top professional!

We don't have that policy. I've sat by the players who haven't been selected for the last 2 games. They wear the training puma track suit and trainers.

Yes a gentleman and the way he has been treated by our club has shocked me.

Just saw this on twitter, interesting. Hmm
I tweeted Steve Borley this evening asking
'what is the situation with Dekel? He has been left off the squad list and you can't sponsor him? Great defender , model pro'
he replied
@SteveCMB: he is a model pro and played last night for the under 21 development squad. He is trying to find club to play 1st team footy'
to which I replied
' we are short in numbers in defence as it is, will Malky be after many players in the loan market?'
he replied
@SteveCMB: agreed and I'm sure if he needs a player he will get one. Connelly can play anywhere across the the back 4 as can Kevin. Also some of our midfielders can play at full back
I do not see why they are driving out a good player, who has been nothing but professional during his time with us. If they wanted to sell him they should have last season when Palace wanted to buy him. Even if we are trying to move him on - surely we should make use of him whilst he is still with us?
What are your thoughts?

This.
If he's not training with the first team there is a reason for it, simple.
I suspect he's turned up late for training a few times or something else has gone on that has annoyed Malky so he's giving him a dressing down and rightly so.

Do feel extremely sorry for him.
There are no reports of a spat with Malky, or any other staff for that matter, and I'd hate to think where the team would have finished in DJ's final season if we didn't have Keinan.
Whether he heads out on loan or finds a permanent move, I hope he does well.

12k a week, sympathy goes out to him

Couldn't agree more with this. As said, he had the immediate impact of being the missing link when we went through theat painful period of conceding goals just before and after Christmas under DJ last season. His performances were consistent also. If I remember correctly, he also nodded a couple of good un's too so an aerial asset too. I did say that he emerged from the main entrance leaving a game in his training gear but I didn't mean that in a way that would suggest anything other that he just seemed very professional and had an air of humbleness and wanting to get on with the job - which if you remember was very "unique" at that point in the season with a few of the players. Deffo one that we should try to keep IMO but would understand why he would obviously want to be playing 1st team every week - an excellent championship defender.

he's slow, got two left feet, cant pass the ball more than 10 foot, in other words a typical championship center half. but he never let us down
Wed Sep 05, 2012 7:36 pm
Clearly happy to sit and pick up the wedge he wouldn't earn elsewhere .

From what I've seen he has conducted himself in an exempelary manner and stays behind at training rather than turns up late.

I know for a fact that Dekel does drop in here some times to see this board. one of the trainers told me also he trains all the time and is always in the gym working

Its not about money for some players. They want to play rather than go to gym. Equally if ccfc want to pay me that for going to gym they only have to offer me the contract

I'm sure the club would be more than willing to terminate his contract

Model proffesional, IMO
played a part in our push for promotion in 2010 in which whenever I seen him I thought he was more solid at the back than mark hudson and consistantly dealt with stray balls over the top and crosses reasuringly.
I couldnt call one better than the other
what seems to be the problem ? he'l prob go to sheffield wednesday now
is it because he is jewish
