WTF is this redbird talk

Whats all this redbird saying going about since when have we had a red poxy bird on our badge or been known as the redbirds, how can we be redbirds when theres no such thing. These people going about saying redbird this redbird that make my skin crawl, its that bad i will look back on this thread in months to come and cringe so much i will shit myself. I get the red shirt wearing from some fans but 95% of them who are wearing the red shower of shit are teenie boppers with there youth club friends so they wouldnt understand what its all about to feel what the older fans feel inside about all this.

These 'teenie boppers' are the future of our club, the ones that will be supporting City when us 'older' ones are long gone. The truth is, the younger supporters are in the majority these days. The 3,000 that used to turn up 20 years ago have been joined by 20,000, less-commited, but equally important, new generation followers whose views and feelings are every bit as important as those of us old'uns. Cardiff City is evolving and in 10,000 years time will look vastly different to how it does today....but it will still be Cardiff City.

My figures are based on our attendance at the weekend of 22,000 which no doubt included the 3,000 hardcore fans of 20 years ago + 19,000 of the new generation of fans that the original poster was criticising. I also made an allowance for those that were unable to attend and those that can't be bothered supporting our team anymore because we wear a different colour shirt. It's not rocket science Merlin I admit, but its the best equation I could be arsed coming up with.

Bless the OP, you go to away games nowadays and you'll see a lot of our travelling support seems to be a lot of the younger generation, we all get branded plastics and people who get their heads turned easily, having second teams such as Man United, that's where you're wrong, some do have a second team but a lot of the younger fans travel week in week out, I value any fans loyalty, whether it be an old or young person, we all support the City.

i started supporting them when they was in the old divison 4 and what ever league they play ill still support them, while im still breathing. i dont have a 2nd team either i only support cardiff city. and there are alot of the "younger generation" that feel the same way

Why would you be blessing me, the point is where has this redbird name tag come from and wtf have we as a club got to do with being a redbird as bar the red shirt thats all the red we have, hence why i said we wear red shirts but most of the home shirts ive seen on people are on teens backs so thats the younger generation but this threads going off topic with such things like 3000 home gates , plastic wording being thrown about, one guy Deano1 says i don't seem to value the new generation of fan, but where did i say that as all i said was the younger teens wear red shirts over the older people because maybe they dont value what blue ment to them unlike the older fan who feels hurt over it more than the younger one and thats why the younger fan has the shirt on the older does not in most cases, depending on personal preference. The new fans will always come with climbing leagues and so on but this was about this wording REDBIRD being tossed about and people embracing a saying thats not there to start with. Its a shame but the majority of our support are now bucktoothed, long haired, know it all, cocky teenagers, greasy and hippy types. The old guard that have sadly passed away in recent times are turning in their graves, shame.

Also whoever said the majority of our away support is of the younger generations is lying, biggest fabrication I have ever read. Maybe to the bigger grounds the plastic army rise to the occasion but by f**k Peterborough away is always and will always be the reserve of the hardcore, elite and true BLUEBIRDS.
