Always been a bad time for us, hoping for new faces and they never seem to come along, well they there on the bench and in the stand waiting now, suspensions, injuries, International calls, bring it on, we finally got a squad with ample cover in all departments.

Today's team look like they had played together for years and I was expecting them to take longer to settle, if we in the mix come January when other teams are losing players to the injuries etc, then we can storm on, fingers crossed, trying not to be build my hopes up to high, but it's hard not to get excited.

I agree gwyn cracking game today its the first time in along time this year ive come from there thinking that was top notch. I do think we will get a fullback onloan and maybe that will be it untill jan as we have cover everywhere then. Today we could of had 2-3 more goals tbh then malky went for saftey with his subs it made sence. Im excited also rite now but it could all turn sour on the next game, you know how it is

I'm still buzzing after the display today Gwyn but we do still need defenders as with Turner injured we had a youngster on the bench. But one thing I'm certain of is MM will deal with that situation and I think our squad is stronger than at any other time since SH was here.

The answer to that would be Connolly! when Turners back, Connolly can play all over the back four - which is reassuring.

Iwas really impressed with Tommy Smith today thought he played really well in front of McNaughton. Just a thought if the worst happed could he slip into the right back role? As long as you've got someone in front of him that works hard to stop the oppo isolating him (Kim or Bellers could do this) I think he could do a job. Be quite happy if we got some specialist cover though!

We have 6 defenders so are buggered if more than two are out with injuries or suspensions. Trying to think if it happened last year. Anyone remember? Wonder if any of our midfielders could cover at full back. Cowie right back perhaps?

No they have no need to save money vt has plenty of it, but for them to fund a promotion push they wanted strings attached , the rebranding, the rebranding was more important to vt than promotion I hope it doesn't come back to bite us on the arse because you can't pick and choose when to get promoted, we should have strengthen in january

i think in an emergancy, cowie could cover at RB. Hasnt Whittenham played the odd game at LB as well? though i wouldnt really want him too.

VT has plenty of money tied up in assets and other interests. Sorry, but no self respecting businessman is going to sell up a a profit making organisation in his homeland to purchase a player for Cardiff City who's value could fluctuate depending on performance and age.
