Both before the game and at start of second half.
"Please welcome Cardiff City!!!" no The Bluebirds as we always have. They are already phasing it out

Wouldn't be surprised if the Malaysians asked if he could stop saying "the Bluebirds".
Sun Sep 02, 2012 4:20 pm
Email TG and tell him to sort it out. Also mention that Malky better start wearing his bluebird badge on his jacket again or I'm going round to his da's to have words!

The PA system was shit today

Same v Huddersfield too.

Support the boys and make some noise is so cringeworthy.
I'd rather him just start shouting 'lets go ******* mental' and everyone start acting crazy like its a zoo of possessed animals.

The name Bluebirds is slowly being phased out. TG saying we will always be the Bluebirds is a blatant Lie !!
Sun Sep 02, 2012 4:32 pm
It really sickens me that he ain't saying the bluebirds anymore, what's the point in TG coming out and saying we will always be called the bluebirds and now we stopped saying it !!
Sun Sep 02, 2012 4:37 pm
Well I suppose you got to have something to moan at the Malaysians today. Just contact the club and ask them why if it bothers you

He said Bluebirds twice today - once when saying McNaughton was making his 250th appearance and when introducing one of the debutants, think it was Maynard.

Some people just turn up to look for things to moan about.
Great game of football and im happy

I think if this continues we deserve an explanation! Really was noticeable today and The Canton responded with a chorus of Bluebirds! Bluebirds! We will NEVER let the bluebird die!

I think Ali is being canny here. He has obviously been told to drop the Bluebirds when the teams are running out, but he hasn't been told what to say when introducing players. Expect the clampdown soon.
And to many on here the Bluebirds as a nickname may not mean much to you but leave it out on having a go at those that do care.

I heard him say the Bluebirds when the players come out to warm up.

We all care hence all the BLUEBIRDS! chants through out the match but you dont actually know if the Malaysains have clamped down on it do you.

In his intro, Ali did say, 'the Bluebirds v the Wolves'. Perhaps he can say it at certain times, but not when the teams come out.

Im sure someone mentioned on here that the football league wanted it so that the team names must be announced but dont quote me on that

You're right, but it is a noticeable proactive move by the club to remove the nickname from Ali's renowned introduction. Which goes totally against what is being said bynthemboard.
Anyway it's the fans that keep a nickname alive.

And we shall keep it alive!
Bluebirds!!!
